hopefully never.
I’d rather they build one from Kuwait to Bahrain, and then another one Bahrain to Qatar followed by a final one from Qatar to Dubai. That way we can drive to Dubai without going through Saudi.

Good idea! but unfortunately that’s not engineering.
yup.. Cooking 101
Haha! Excellent idea!
THAT would be great, the whole going thru Saudi is not my biggest concern. It’s getting the paperwork to go thru Saudi that’s my hangup…
Is that a trick question?
Will there be alcohol on the other side?
Lol.. +1
You see all those palm trees lined up in the video. They won’t be planted by the government bodies.
Google “bridge to nowhere”
It’s on the back burner right now. I hope it doesn’t happen. There is no point to it. If you want to build a completely independent city in Subiya, do it, and while you’re at it, build an airport there too.
Imagine the nightmare if you live on the other side of the bridge and have to go to Kuwait international Airport during rush hour!
yea
hmmmm…2040.No, that’s way too early. Let’s take 2080 when we will be holding sticks & walking..
hahhaha, you never know though. we even never hear about its progress or anything. I dont even know if they started.
how long did it take to finish the late Shiek Jabir’s staduim?
how long does it take to finishe the late Shiek’s hospital?
will the third establishment named after the late Shiek be a charm & finish early ?!!! let hope so 😐
Opening soon……………….
I’m gonna be positive and say by 2020.
But where does this bridge lead to anyway. I think it would be smart if it lead to somewhere visited the most by people from Kuwait based on stats and somewhere that would at least lessen the traffic in kuwait.
Is there a english version of this ??
going by the length of the video….a looong time.
at 4:21 the traffic seems to be moving slowly…whats up there…
the way that bridge is going..how do ships enter Shuwaikh port ?
Baydh al 9a3u wil never be completed
guy this is needed for many reasons and could happen sooner, the new port being build up north, silk city is on paper but bids have been taken and finally the highways are being build up there, lets give them the benefit of the doubt and hope something nice will come out of this. they should include a railway or metro in this Bridge too
many of the governmental bodies are throwing the final call on other departments , ( it seems there are lot of … in it so they don’t want to take the blame later).
And where is the city it will take us to , there is nothing there ??? and wont be for another 10 years if not more .
its like you buy a key chain before you plan of buying a car .
Haha that water is way too pretty! Like the product placement for BMW too. It is amazing how easy and quick they make it look to assemble. Guess we will see
I’d say… 2030
They cant even re-vamp broken up roads in the main districts like salmiya high street and kuwait city and there gonna build this loool
“They” is not just 1 entity that goes around doing everything in Kuwait…
At the current rate, in 3030 our descendants will still be asking when this project will be completed.
let them first start the project, at present the tender is awarded to Hyundai, but still not started, as it is kept on hold for the time being, as few MP’s raised concerns regarding Hyundai’s previous track record

I just today walked past some signs here in Mahboula (Abu Halifa?) for two projects. Starting time 2009. On one spot some holes were dug and a metal fence was up. It’s what year?
So, I would guess 2060 or so. And until then someone changes their mind and all will be torn down again.
The trash dumped into the sea.
Ah, I forgot, until then all’s dead already anyway in that area.
answering your question “how long will it take”? i would say for ever
I would say ‘enshallah’.
Let’s fix the current roads and bridges first 😉
Where will this CauseWay Lead to???
Looks like it Leads to the Bubyian Island??
Umm… Everyone knows this is just a concept, right? I sent it to Mark so that it could get noticed…
Thank you Talal, but as you can tell my the majority of the comments, nobody has any confidence in this government finishing this project or starting this project. You need better leaders, managers, people who actually care about improving this country like yourself. I am waiting for the youth to come into focus and take on the reigns of progress because your elders have failed you and your nation.
We must always trust that there are 2 sides in every coin.
i know im a bit optimistic .. but if they put their mind onto it, i say it’ll be done by 3012
Just wondering…
Major crash in the middle of the causeway, during rush hour of course… All lanes packed full… How long would it take for emergency staff to get there??? How many other crashes would be generated by stupid drivers… Afraid that there will be more scrap iron on the cause way than allied forces managed to generate during operation Desert Storm. One of the most stupid plans so far…
If bin laden group is actually incharge rather than our slow contracters … i beleive they can easily finish in 5 yrs or less ….. want proof … check out how well they finish their projects in ksa
lol i like how they added music from the transformers movie

Is this about when it whether or not it will be finished? There are some fantastic ideas and very gifted individuals out there. This video is sharing some fantastic insight into the potential of this country. There are certainly some opportunities to improve other parts of the infrastructure in this country but let”s save that for another post. Let’s be proud of the vision in this country and, rather than complain, discuss how this vision can best become a reality.
Thanks for sharing Talal and Mark. Keep them coming.
