Smokehouse?

Has anyone heard of a burger place in Kuwait called Smokehouse? Its on exit 211 in Mahboula, block 1. Supposedly they have really good burgers. I also heard a new burger place opened up in the Avenues in place of where GBK used to be.

Update: Someone from the Smokehouse commented the following…

At The Smokehouse we specialize in Southern BBQ. We serve a variety of smoked and barbequed meats, southern style sides and a selection of desserts. And Mark we do have three different burgers on our menu. We are located in Mahboula block 1, off exit 211of the Fahaheel expressway. Our website www.smokehousekw.com should be up within a day or 2, it has a menu as well as directions and map of our location. If you need help finding The Smokehouse call us at 97340070 or 97340080.

Yeah mate, i heard if it, actually i passed by it today. it looks great, i checked their menu too, but didn’t get the chance to order. if you need directions ill tell you where it is ;).

About your other burger restaurant, never heard if it.

They do have burgers. Yummy ones at that. Their menu is diverse but it all pays homage to southern (U.S) style cooking. Their mac n’ cheese is my favorite. It is a bit out of the way, but definately worth the drive. Two thumbs up!

mark it’s actually not only a burger place. This was recently opened about a month and a half ago with the goal of serving smoked meats (wings, ribs, drums, steaks, etc..) . The burger I have not tried but from what I heard it is pretty good. definately try some of the smoked foods, their homemade chili, A&W root beer, and some of their cheesecakes or apple pies.

Yup your right,

its actually a Steak house that you can easily see from fahaheel express, they just opened about a month ago.

Their number is 97340080, but i dont think its that crowded that you have to reserve before you go.

Smokehouse is off the Fahaheel expressway (30), opposite Box Hill college and its logo, the RED horns, can be seen as you’re driving past. Honestly this is one of, if not only, the best smokehouse in Kuwait. Practically all their dishes are delicious, from the appetizers all through the main courses. You MUST start of with the wings!

All the meats are smoked in a smoker designed and built by the owner himself and not only that, they are basked in his own special recipes too! As NDN mentioned above, it is all U.S. southern homestyle cooking.

The side dishes are scrumptious as well. I personally liked the Mac n Cheese, Baked Beans and the Black Eyed Peas (no reference to the musical group here 🙂

They should have a website up and running soon, I do believe they have a Facebook group created! Check on there to see if their menu is posted.

I live out in Egaila, and have been to the Smokehouse restaurant twice. It’s amazing. the burgers are delicious and fresh, as well as everything else on the menu. It’s more of a BBQ style restaurant. Their chilli fries beat Johnny Rockets any day, as well as their baked beans.

You should definately try it. The only bad thing is the location. It’s pretty hard to get to because there is no road that leads to it directly. its sand, so you have to go off road to get to it.

Enjoy!

We’re going to try sometime this next week. But from what my co-workers say, The Smokehouse needs alil more work with there meat! They said the side dished are ” OFF THE HOOK”! We’ll put them thru the test since we prefer to bar-b-que our own food. Being from Texas I have bbq down to an ART! Look out SMOKEHOUSE we’re comin there soon!
By the way the smoker in the front is just for looks! In the States the smoker is runnin all day for the ultimate flavor!

I’ve tried a variety of the items on the menu, and found them all to be great. This is, from my knowledge, the only smoke house in Kuwait and it makes me wonder how we survived without one!

The owners are intimately involved in the food itself and have developed their own recipes AND smokers. I see a loyal swarm of customers developing, be they dine-in or dine-out.

A 10/10 in my book and a welcome change to the million burger and sandwich places that Kuwait is saturated with.

Ok, now I’m hungry.

Thank god Kuwait has a place I can eat at that tastes like home cookin’! But I don’t have a smoker in my house..sooo I dunno what to say… Smoke House Southern BBQ is hand down my favorite. I’m workin on tastin each Item, but their specials keep me off track cuz they are DEEELICH!!

You want wings?? Go to smokehouse!! Man they are finger lickin smokin =) I’m thinkin about mailing some back to my family in the states!! =)

C u all there on the flip

Anyone ever tried the burger for the kids meal at hardrock cafe?
My son always finish his burger, after 5 minutes he eat, he said “i’m full..” – he hasn’t got anything since his breakfast at 8, it was 3 o’clock in the afternoon.. Then i tried the burger :
Tastes sucks!! like a sandal!

Tried it. The food needs work. The Mac N Cheese was too dry it felt like leftovers. They can’t seem to know the difference between short ribs and ribs and can’t even cook it right. I really loved the concept though, it just requires better execution and a better location / interior.

Just had lunch there, and it was A+. Excellent..this is what I had the Smoked Rib Eye with mash n gravy and Mac n Cheese. Then I tried the Pecan Pie with ice cream, and that blew me away. Never had a Pecan Pie that was this good to be honest with you folks.

I’m gonna go there for dinner, and have some wings!

Prices are ridiculously low for the portions! Generous people I say!

Good Grubbin =)

I am really doubting some of the comments here are written by the owner and associates just to hype it up. Not cool.

I would like to go there and see if it is actually southern Bar-B-Q. Does anyone know the prices. We usually use use Mesquite, Hickory or pecan to smoke and grill in the south.

Kent we use Hickory to smoke our meats. We start our smokers early in the morning and slow cook all the smoked items on the menu. Our barbequed dishes are chargrilled. The smoker out front is functional and is used for our catering jobs, our daily smoking takes place in our kitchen in custom built smokers. The website is now up with a map of our location.

I have never seen any smoke rising near this place. This place looks like it is busy from the outside because of the cars belonging to the people living in the apartments behind it! Anyways, people like myself would rather eat homemade pork bbq than this place until i hear some positive responses from my co-workers on their meat! Like I said before everyone does like The Smokehouse sides and desserts.

Ok, I am going to try it out. It is close to where I live anyway. Having said that I was raised on this type of food so will not be hard to judge. I don’t expect perfection but something in the neighborhood would be a good start.

Hi ,

I love smokehouse their foods are yummy. One time i went there with my friends, but i’ve observed something. I dunno whether that guy (was the supervisor or manager) well im not sure whether the staff’ made mistake but that guy patted their heads or i don’t know what’s the right word to fit in.

Well ,this is just my comment.

Wish Smokehouse more success.

The food is ok, nothing to write home about…The pecan pie was more like pecan cake…Dry pecan cake…
