The Ghost House

Does anyone have any pictures of the blue and white ghost house that was located on the 30th near the 4th Ring Road exit? Also does anyone know the history or story of the house? I was telling a friend about it yesterday and I figured I’d try and get more information about it since there doesn’t seem to be much info online.

I was there the other day and me and my friend felt like somebody was following us as we heard weird and strange noises but as me and my friend being hot heads we didn’t care so we kept looking around later on we found a room with a bed, new water, new bread and a knife Lying under a table and we could tell someone is still living there so I took the knife and we jumped the wall and ditched the place

Guys, this is not a joke, im around the area and I see a person holding something I was searching about it just yesterday and I see nothing but a person holding something and now its going towards me.

I was just there yesterday, that building is gone they have demolished it and build a new huge building which is still under construction.

what i heard around is that its haunted, the previews owner of the house who use to leave there was sleeping in the room and woke up outside the house like he wasnt welcome to stay.

i think its bull, i guess this guy was just sleep walking…..

Bull as it may sound, but that sounds fun! I’d love to spend the night there and get surprised in the morning πŸ˜€

What construction? The house has been demolished a decade ago and there is a mosque on where it used to stand.

That sleeping inside and waking outside the house thing I heard too, however it was what strangers experienced when they tried to spend the night at that house as a dare or something.

In general most of haunted houses in Kuwait stories are bull. however this one lead someone to buy the land and build a big mosque on it…

Exactly !

Everyone who thinks including that Imam that there was something then does that mean during invasion the ghost also ran to it’s home country !!

There was no ghost or so ! But yes we did enjoy rumours about it.

its demolished now. for a very very long time the house was known as the haunted house of the 4th ring road. Rumor has it that the owner of the house kept hearing noises, seeing things ( cliche of any haunted house story) and he always blamed it on the huge sidra tree( A.K.A the haunted tree in our kuwaiti culture) that was located outside the living room window. Years passed by and they moved out of the house, and the sidra tree was removed and a mosque was built and then another rumor circulated that the Mosque that was built next to the house was due to the house being haunted and the mosque would drive the evil spirits out of the house. Then they said that the imam of the mosque confirmed that he saw and heard things. That’s when they decided to demolish the house and start building a nice hotel which can be seen now if you drive through 4th ring road. Well since its been a very long time and they stopped working on the hotel people started wondering why is the hotel abandoned. Well, rumor has it that the construction workers also saw and heard things while working there. So they had to stop working and they abandoned the premise.

Ok ppl most of the stories written on this site are the ones i remember from my childhood too but to my surprise i never thought in my wildest dreams that one day i would be on the same site( the new building in its place, Hotel).
I’m working as a projects engineer for mechanical division since the site reopened on 2nd april, 2011 and i still face a problem of labors being afraid of going to the basement or being alone on any of the floor!
And i m amongst those ppl who dint want the building to be demolished….any ways whats bygone is bygone

So it’s true? The blue/white building was hunted? More than 2 decades ago I was passing by it every morning on my way to school. In my childish mind I was looking at it with horror. When I grow up I thought it was just a rumor that circulated by kids in the school as a prank. Good to see that everyone else in Kuwait heard that rumor !

Oh yeah. This ‘haunted house’ rumour was prevalent even in our Indian community. It was cross-cultural πŸ™‚

My bro always wanted to spend a night there – of course with a group of friends … but alas it never happened.

I heard about 10 years back that the house could not be occupied by anyone after the invasion by Iraq. Heard that also when anyone occupies it, the next day he wakes up in the highway(funny but maybe true). It is truly haunted though and there are many other places in Mina abdulla also.

I would laugh my ass of SO hard, if the reason that happened was due to one or two disgruntled Iraqi soldiers hiding underneath the building just going “F you guys for beating us during the invasion” and every night they just sneak around moving people out of the house, for the pure LoLz of it xD

I used to know the guy who owns the place… I asked him once about the ghost rumors and he just laughed ….. anyways the hotel has been stopped since he doesn’t have enough money to complete it.

Is it ?? Or cud it be that he would not want to scare away any customers once the hotel was completed… It seems the employees of a company that installed the elevators in the new building have come across some weird happenings…

Happenings?? what kind??? I work there too as a mech. project engineer. and though my labours are scared too but never experienced it personally until yesterday when one of our electrical foreman and his engineer was working late at site to complete their works prior to MEW’s inspection. They were searching for one of their labour called Altaf. They were shouting his name and a response came from one corner ‘i’m here’ they went there to find no one.they called again and the response came from another corner ‘i’m here’ this happened for 4-5 times and later they discovered that altaf was in the masjid praying ASR!!!

There was a story published in I think Kuwait Times or Arab Times I don’t remember now, where a Kuwaitia wrote about her experience.

And for all of them who said the Hotel Construction also halted due to some jinx…it was halted due to CASH CRUNCH…and now work started again and building is almost complete.

I remember going inside as a kid, the door was open so I went inside to see whats going on, the owner was in and he gave me a juice box! woohoo, thats pretty much it I don’t remember his name or anything like that, but it was normal. That was uhh 12 years ago I THINK!

I too was curious about it and when I asked someone about it was told (according to the source): the house was not haunted, but was used as a place to party, and the owner said it was haunted to keep people away.

Hey Mark,

You need to compile a list of all the haunted places in Kuwait with pictures and a brief story of what happens, that would be so rad.

I had a friend who was being deported 3 years ago and who happens to witnesses apparitions, EVP’s footsteps etc at the detention place in Shuwaik for expat’s that will be due to be deported. As she was expressing it while we are chatting the time that she was already in our country, she said that these apparitions are from the boys who seems to be like juveniles. What is so reliable was everyone experiences the same inside the prison.

I remember the house.it was blue and white. It was on the way to school.
My dad was once invited to a wedding, and the venue was the house being discussed. Someone from the owners family used to work with him. Dad asked him about the house and the guy said it was constructed for his elder brother but he died. After the death no one was intrested in the property and it was neglected. Didn’t mentioned anything about it being haunted.
.Once i remember seeing half a dozen police cars near the house. This was ages ago. I still remember the blue and white caprice classic the police used in those days.

I heard that once a couple of Indian students had decided to pass by the house and take a few pics and smoke some cigs after school on a thursday. They managed to sneak in which was fairly easy. However when they entered they saw a child sitting with his palms covering his face and crying. They asked him whether anyone lives there when all of a sudden they saw a woman staring at them from exactly where they entered the compound. She was standing in front of them so there were afraid to even escape from there. They tried to jump off the walls but they started hearing voices asking them to stay back or the cops would be called. They ran back to the door where the woman was standing but she was gone. They escaped somehow. I heard this from the uncles of one of the students and I could bet you they were not BSing.

I remember one day passing by the house there was a tent set up, lights, cars, people going and coming, it looked like a wedding, this was maybe 10 years ago or so. although i certainly did believe it was haunted as a kid, i seriously think it was bullshit haha

i lived right in front of this building since born till maybe 14 we have noticed some weird movements in our house like knocking on doors, missing stuff, even once my mom left her coffee and came back found the cup empty also we heard so many stories about ghost and paranormal actives some of the stories is that the owners son has died in a car accident on his weeding day with his bride and they were buried in this house that’s why its hunted and no one is allowed to stay there but I remember bunch of our neighbors boys went in and noticed nothing but brand new furniture and rooms looks like classrooms and by the way every year we used to watch them painting it all over and it has like a yearly maintenance , another rumor that this house was used as a secret tunnel for militaries back in 50’s-60’s and it looks like david star for jews when you look at it from the top and the colors always white and blue!!!!!!!!!!!!! However u can say that area has some curse cuz they built a building before and it was not successful ,now the hotel is taking forever to finish and I doubt it will be successful too.

We managed to trespass the property over the walls. Climbed all the way to the top floor and saw a strangely dark black painted room. We were freaked out but nothing out of the ordinary.
There are many stories about the house, and it seems that if you have a ghost story to tell, whats better than to slap it on this house. One of the stories is that there was a murder in the house and the body got buried there. Who knows but it surely is fun to have a haunted house these days.

I am not one to believe in ghosts but I grew up with all the horror stories surrounding that house. We would drive by it from time to time and I was stare very closly at the windows because people have claimed to see a woman standing at the window. I never saw anything.
There was an accuaintance og mine who passed away a few years ago. It was a hit and run while he was crossing the street but people have claimed to have never seen the car. Anywho, a while later when I was sitting with my friends he came up in conversation and his friend starting laughing saying they went to the haunted house to see what it was all about. I think due to the addrenaline they scared the crap out of themselves and left the house after hearing noises. The intersting part of this whole long winded story I have written is becuase he died the day after visiting the haunted house. Some people believe that is why it happened other believe it was him being on the street at the wrong time. Who knows.

sometimes…in winter when i see guys where white disdashas instead of the darker wool versions…i start to believe i spotted casper and get nervous…but then i remember he’s friendly : P

Talking of ghost , few months back a group was caught performing satanic ritual in a very old building !

Mark you aware of it?

I live right by the area described but have no idea what house people are talking about! Can someone post an old picture of it? Was it in Hawally, Jabriya, Maidan Hawally, or Salmiya? (different corners of the 30-4th intersection)

if you are driving from shuwaikh toward salmiyah on 4th, after passing Faheel ex. (30). the building use to be on your right.

Well,What I heard was a woman died there after so many family conflicts and she haunted the house. It seems she hated anyone coming into the house and she haunted the owners into maintaining it and what not.I spent many a sleepless nights when I once saw a light on in one of the rooms one evening.Yeah, the same thing about people finding themselves outside after trying to sleep in and a mosque being built to ward off the evil and stuff.I would really love to know the real story behind it all as I found it odd,no one tried to speak with the real owner and know the real deal.I hope it was all a rumour in the end .

The House used to belong to the Al Ibrahim family, their son Abdul Rahman is a dear friend. The hole haunted house story was untrue!
We once had a big dinner in the house to celebrate Abdul Rahman and his brothers graduation!
I was exited at the time to attened …..mostly due to curiosity !
The house was very well maintained from the inside even thought it was very old.
A funny story I experienced was of a reporter snooping by the front gate bewildered by all the guests at that dinner!

The old haunted house in Salmiya mith….is Busted !

Its funny how most people here remember the house as white and blue. Heck it was painted only five or ten years after the invasion. I remember it in its old dull condition similar to that big palace near Bayan or old houses in Salmiya. Its more scary!

Some friends n i went to the house on a thursday night back in summer of 2000. It was our trend back then where we go to a haunted place every thursday night. Anyways there was nothing in the house. Didnt see any ghosts or hear any stories. But we did go to other places that were scary as sh!t.

It was white and blue before the invasion as well. We were kids and used to watch at in fascination on the school bus whenever we used to pass by. The story that we heard as kids and probably cock and bull was that the house belonged to a Kuwaiti Man who had a Indian wife and that she was murdered by the husband there and her Ghost used to haunt it. Whatever be the case, it was a beautiful building for its time and would have looked modern even now if it was standing. Too sad it was demolished for a ordinary looking mosque and hotel. It must have cost quite a penny to build it at that time and a shame it was destroyed. It could have been one of the tourist attractions of Kuwait like how they have it in London for all the haunted places.

God Damn.. I went there when I was 13 overnight I made myself strong that no one could scare me then in the night around 3am i hear my name being called angerly it still hunts me today.
