The Kuwait Blogs iPhone App

This is the second app that I’m releasing for the iPhone and one that should be very useful to many, its the Kuwait Blogs app. I’ve taken all of my favorite blogs and placed them in one app which is very convenient and practical. I will still be adding more blogs in the next update but for now these are the blogs that are included in the app:

2:48AM
360 Dewan
4th Ring Road
Ansam
Blushberry
Buzberry
Confashions
Frankom
iLSul6ana
P0ach
Some Contrast
Tidbit du Jour
zDistrict

I would have added more blogs but it was very time consuming trying to create an icon, header, footer and color scheme for every blog so that it matches their actual blog theme. So if you’re not in this first release I’m sorry but you might be in the next update.

For the Kuwait Blogs icon and launch screen I wanted to use a picture that represented Kuwait but didn’t want anything cliche like the Kuwait Towers or flag so I ended up going with an abstract shot of the Ice Skating Rink which I had taken a few years ago for Miskan. I love the design of the Ice Skating Rink and thought it would represent Kuwait very nicely.

all of your ideas and the work you do online are spectacular.. I really think that whatever you do here will reflect on “others” and most of them will either try to inaugurate your stuff or challenge, begrudge and disdains you..
I congratulate you on behalf of all of them.. and wish you the best.

It’s not an April Fools prank. I hate April Fools, whatever I post today people will think its a prank!

N: You app was going to be in this launch version but you had the same theme as tidbit and i had put her blog in and then when it came to yours i didn’t know how to rework it to look different so i just left it out. Then I submitted app to the store and next day you launched the redesign lol

Abdullah: The hardest was actually Ansams blog, someone needs to redesign her blog, I didn’t have much to work with when it came to the header, footer and blog colors.

I was going to leave Some Contrast out because there was a post of his that was crashing the app but decided to leave it in since that post will disappear and everything will work fine. Currently if you go into somecontrast and scroll down to where the older posts are the app will crash and quit.

Q8 Black Market none of the posts were showing up since I think he has his RSS feed as just headlines or something.

Some blogs was having issues with the arabic copy getting centered, some like frankoms works fine.

Not sure when the next update will be, i am working on another app now (Lebanon related) and still have a few things to fix on my 2:48AM app, 2 blog redesigns (my two Lebanese blogs) and I still have my blog to update daily. With work finishing at 7 and gym 3 times a week I am barely managing to find time for dinner yet alone all the above…

This is great! Mark, do you happen to have a forum in which bloggers who would like to be added to that Kuwaiti app list of yours? If so, could you please post an update on it.

Thanks.

well there is only a limited amount of blogs i can add to the app before it becomes over crowded and unpractical to use. So at the moment I am only putting the blogs i check daily.

Nice app I just downloaded it, I’m just wondering why q8blackmarket aren’t included in the app. With there be any updates?
