Huge… yes. But I don’t see anything special in the very basic and unimaginative design.
I guess they need a huge parking structure or it will end up just like Hawally.
I agree… it’s a very bulky and block like structure, just looking at it make me feel stuffy.
We need fresh more open building with natural light coming in.
Anyways… so when is the proposed finished date for this project?
Well it’s still just hills of sand so probably needs a very long time. I am no expert but say 6+ years is my guess
The “new” Kuwait University at Shedadiah on 6th Ring Road has been hills of sand for the last 6 years. Wake me up when they actually start pouring concrete.
From start to finish it will take 12 years. Start counting when they lay the foundation. My guess 20 years.
wake me up, when their sleep ends!
They are working on that building at the same exact location since my MOM was 15 years old.
I’m 30 years old today.
From what I know about the project, they’re going to have all the colleges in row, and then have a mirrored set to segregate the genders. Last time I recall they had a river between the male and the female buildings.
Such a waste of money to build 2 full campuses. Some of them are completely empty, like the female engineering one.
My current COMPUTER engineering class has 130 girls and about 30 guys , KU has far more girls than boys.
Now if only they would also focus on upping the standard and quality of education at KU rather than making issues out of non issues such as segregation etc. Bricks and mortar don’t necessarily make for a great university; it’s the faculty and the student body that does which I should imagine is a no-brainer.
I see what you did there, “no brainers” indeed.
The education is quite good , our problems are the tight spaces , rare parking spots and lack of good manegment for issuing grades and registering other than that the acedemics and proffessors are usually good.
Management for issuing grades? Do they return assignments or tests ungraded?
A river separating the males from the females??? You mean like ancient time moats with draw bridges and shit?? Dmmmmnnn wow !! Will there like be alligators and piranhas in the river to ??? Will there be huh ?? will there ?? I just lovvvvvvv alligators ;-0)
Is it weird that I find thy romantic?
Do you have a river running through your apartment separating you and Nat?
