There is this guy who is always running on the Gulf Road no matter how bad the weather is. The other day when it was raining, he was running, when its 50 degrees in the middle of summer he is out running. He is always running. So I decided next time I see him I would ask him if I could interview him like I did with Shark of Kuwait.
Well today while parked in one of the parking spots on the Gulf Road taking pictures of the Infiniti I saw him run by me. I quickly gave Nat my camera and told her to wait there while I ran after him. I must have ran behind him for a minute yelling out for him to stop before I was able to overtake him and make him stop. By then I was completely out of breath. The guy looked at me waiting to say something and then he fucking yelled out extremely loud in Kuwaiti “Tabi shay mini?” meaning “Do you want anything from me?” By the time I could catch my breath to say anything he yelled out something else and ran off.
I stood there still trying to catch my breath and wondering why he was so aggressive and why the hell was he shouting at me even though I was standing right next to him. Someone previously commented that he was a champion runner does anyone have information on him?

well, I was told he is a very nice man. He has been running for years now. I always wave at him when I see him and he would wave back.

I don’t understand why people make fun of him .. at least he is doing something good with his time …. i think he is not that young and for him to still be able to run at his age means that when we are in our 60’s and in wheel chairs wanting for others to feed us he would be a hundred something and still running :S

u must really annoyed him ! and im sure he didnt think u were making fun of him, but when ur doing sports and someone stops you its just u stopped his rythem and breathing cycle, imagine u were on a treadmill running, and this guy come and starts talking to you ? wont u be like WTF he wants ?
basically he is a sport junkie and everything to him is sports, and u just took a moment of fun away from him 😉 thats why he ran off again to catch off where u stopped him

i saw him once in KFC eating a whole bucket of friend chicken alone , i smiled n he smiled back. He seemed like a nice guy.

I was waiting next to a red light on gulf road and all of a sudden this same guy stands next to my car points at me and my friend and bows down.. it was a weird moment.. then he waved goodbye and said HAPPY NEW YEAR and ran away.. hehehe.. we waved back and couldn’t stop laughing.. hehe.. It would be interesting to know more about him.

i always see that guy running i was at pizza hut (on the gulf) once and the lady working there told us he comes by twice a day and she said she thinks hes retarded or something
yeah, i see him everyday.. he jumps next to my car, salutes, does that 3ala raseee sign and runs off.. he’s nice but weird..
theres a guy just like him that always runs in jabriya in the morning of every single guy
lol, one day i was with my frnd at gulf road mcdonalds he came and saluted us and then he begin hitting on us 😛 and asked us if we needed anything i was surprised to hear him speaking egyptian :S
I am gonna be in Kuwait next week – I wanna jog next to him and say: guess what? this guy ran up to me last week and stopped my jogging routine…I can’t wait to hear what he says…lool
From his response I think he didn’t mean to shout but he just kind of didn’t control his voice (if that makes any sense at all) because of the exertion he was going through
I think more imporrtantly – and possibly with more comedy value – would be photos of Mark running.

I heard he’s Moroccon, but not too sure about that. It’s also his thing to salut if he sees any girls/women in their cars at the traffic light.

with all do respect mark what makes you think people will leave there work talk to you “he is a jogger as you said and he was jogging so he was working” i think you would shout at people too if they interrupted you while you are in the middle of you’re work and effected you’re work , “joggers can’t stop and go at anytime they have to do it gradually , no wonder he was shouting at you for stopping him he has to do it all over again. it’s not you’re fual though you didn’t know don’t take it personal
hi name is abdul aziz, If I am not wrong…he is a fitness freak and no matter how bad the weather is, he makes it daily from sharq mall to scientific center and back. Then he comes back to MCDonalds!!! for food…that always surprised me…

I don’t know his name, but he always salutes my friend all the time when she’s on Gulf Road- and by always I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME. She stopped him to ask his questions he said that he had cancer. And he’s Middle-Eastern- apparently from the Gulf, or so she says. LOL he wished her a very weird New Year’s- something like ‘atsharaf inni aka7il 3yoni ib shofatkom’ or something weird like that 😛

I always see him walking backwards with his sunglasses and yellow headphones and weights! I usually see him on Blajat and at Marina Crescent.

ya i see this running guy on my way to uni. its so wierd he waves at all the cars and its funny how you see everyone looking at him in a wierd way thinking ‘do i know this guy?’

well, i saw him at starbucks marina mall once, and had a nice weirdo chat with him, well he thinks that we might die soon because of the bees. and that we should not eat honey and we should kill bees or they’ll come after us. he used to be in the army

hiya mark i know the last post bout this topic was on may 18th but honestly i really wanted 2 post about the african american guy that moey spoke about i keep seeing him latley in dunkin donuts infacts for the past month i c him almost daily in dunkin one accross sultan..he keeps wearing those funny dress as if he is goin for a camp or ridin a bike,yesterday he went in dunkin and started doin pushup and jumpin around infront of all customers then he ran across dunkin with weights on both his hands it was hilarious! i think if u go there and ask the staff bout him then they definelty know him! i was shy to take a video of him doin so but i really think that should interview him!plus am sure hell show u his shoping bag lool
