I passed by this strange abandoned old villa over the weekend that was full of random quotes (that barely made any sense) spray painted all over the walls. Here are some I managed to make out:

Whoever did this was so stoned. ๐ Hilarious. I wonder why they don’t demolish these buildings. Don’t get me wrong, I love the pictures. I just find it funny that these buildings exist.
They still have owners. Oftentimes there will be an inheritance dispute so the old house is there until it’s settled, or sometimes they want to keep the land as an investment. It’s cheaper to let the house stay up than it is to demolish it.

I have a better place in mind. The Ahmadi co-op is going to be demolished soon so as of now it is this HUGE desolate structure filled with wreckage and it seems like it is right out of a video game.

For what it’s worth, the building is beautiful, too bad they don’t restore these old houses instead of letting them end up like this.

I guess most probably it’s over there. There are lots of old villas broken over there.
People should restore it and use it as a library or something useful.

This house is so pretty! Especially the retro fireplace! How can anyone have the heart to abandon such a lovely place? If it was my house -or my grandfather’s or whatever- I would have restored it, gave it a modern look with a retro touch, and turned it into an exclusive book/cafe area where people can sit around, read lovely books, drink amazing coffee, and hold

While the pictures are cool, the whole trip to abandoned buildings can become traumatic. I still remember some years back I used to live in Salmiya and we had an abandoned building next to ours, one morning the place was full of police vans, ambulances and what not…no one had a clue what was going on…finally it turned out that they had found a dead body inside the abandoned house…so just a word of caution, if at all you are going, don’t go alone…..
Make sure you don’t get arrested.

yes the images have been taken through post but passing you each photos individual settings would be too time consuming for me and really not help you. You can’t use the same camera settings in any situation, they worked for mine because of the location, time of day and what i was shooting.
if you take the same settings and use them at 12pm instead of say 5pm, the shots would come out over exposed.
