Thanks for this! Just to let you know, the book is currently available through amazon.co.uk (it won’t be available on amazon.com in the US until Jan. 2015). In Kuwait, the book is available at most private university campus bookstores (including at AUK and others). For details, visit Facebook.com/maialnakib

Mabrook Mai!
It’s really amazing to see a Kuwaiti doing such great things and changing the status-quo. I’m really looking forward to it being available in the US, let me know how I can get a copy before January. I’m in Oregon.

mark, if you can get Mai to share excerpts of her short stories and commentaries on your blog will be beyond awesome! It will give your reader’s a flavor of her creative genius. Alternatively you could interview the author and post a YouTube video of it yourself

Mai rox. Simply loved the way the woman thunk in the after Iftar Arab Times op-ed piece- Violence in Kuwait: a Sideways Reflection. It was spot on. Her writings should be compulsory reading for anyone contemplating a college education in this country.
