#7FavFilms

Scene from the cult classic, Crash

Earlier tonight I saw the hashtag #7FavFilms floating around on twitter and decided to participate naming my seven favorite movies of all time. But after sharing seven I realized I had missed so many movies and there was no way I could choose just seven. So I started putting together a list for myself, just to kinda see what I would come up with. I ended up with the list below and since it took a lot of effort to put together, I figured I might as well share them on my blog.

Below are various film genres and each contains just seven films. I figured I’d set myself some sort of limit and seven would fit with the original hashtag. So check it out, some of the choices are predictable, some won’t make sense to anyone and I’m sure I’ve also missed a ton of great films. But this is my list right now:

First Blood
Rambo: First Blood Part II

you gotta get rid of the part 3’s (Rambo 3 and Godfather 3) they can’t be on your favourites good sir, surely there’s something more worthy in their spot

I guess i could replace Rambo III with Cliffhanger 😛
btw watched First Blood last night, damn it aged so nicely. its so good. now watching bloodsport for breakfast, i’m dying of laughter, it didn’t age as well but still a classic for sure.

Are you going to watch Trainspotting 2? It very well could be one of the few sequels in film history that surpasses the original, others being Godfather Part II and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (Bollywood).

My faves: 8 Femmes, Irreversible, Bamako, Ankur, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Jungle Fever and Les Amants Criminels.

The Shawshank Redemption, The Silence of the Lambs, Braveheart, Interstellar, Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels….

where is ” the shawshank redemption” best movie ever after that mob list and ofcourse “basket ball diaries for the drugs section

Your list of Science fiction movies is good and I suggest you check the following (if you didn’t do so already) as they are great movies under the main genre (science fiction):

1. Predestination (2014)
2. Time lapse (2014)
3. Sunshine (2007)
4. Timecrimes (2007)
5. Primer (2004)
6. Coherence (2013)
7. Silent Running (1972)

By the way, Inception (2010) and Donnie Darko (2001) are considered science fiction movies. Inception (a future where mind can be intercepted through dream invasion) and Donnie Darko (Time travel involvement for secondary character shows off a future for a main character)
