Star Wars: The Force Awakens is Not Cut

In case you’re wondering if the new Star Wars film has any scenes that were cut in Kuwait, based on people who’ve already watched it here, nothing is chopped.

I saw it at the 360 mall at 0:05 AM, first show. I felt it was good. I wouldnt say it was extraordinary but you can definitely feel George Lucas’ magic is not there. That kinda felt odd in me. Feels like Episode IV has been revisited in a different approach.

There are very very few subtle references to the old movies, some of which the audience around me didn’t even realize – something which surprised me as I expected a die hard fan following yesterday night particularly regarding the millennium falcon, im not going to go any deeper than that.

I’m surprised no one mentioned that they literally stopped the movie mid-show to make people wearing terrible star wars costumes walk around with cheap lightsabers and take selfies with the crowd for 15-20 minutes in 360 today, I went to the imax show today at 9:30pm, we literally had to wait 20 minutes until they people in star wars costumes left and they resumed the film, wtf were you thinking cinescape? atleast do that before the movie starts not pause the damn thing in the middle..

Many people including me found it ridiculous (mostly on the fact that it happened MID MOVIE not before or after), but unfortunately many (mostly guys though) thought it was okay and started taking selfies with them, one dude even took on of their lightsabers and starting pretending to fight with them, it was honestly sad xD

Hi Aziz,

I am in charge of programming at Cinescape, and would like to personally apologize for the inconvenience that our team at 360 has caused you on Thursday night. It was a bad decision made by the cinema manager to please young children attending the show, which we assure you will not happen again.

To further extend our apologies, we will gladly refund your ticket or supply you with a new one to any show / date you’d like.

Please contact me at [email protected] to claim your refund / exchange.

Glad non of that fanboy bull happened in Al-Kout, it was a nice and peaceful experience. As for the movie it’s nice unless your a hardcore fanboy you’ll find it somewhat familiar 🙂

I managed to snag a ticket at the last time for the 00:30 show yesterday.

There was some clapping from the die hard audiences when the trademark starting sequence came on (you know, the one the with the text that describes the back story); and some other areas when the old cast came around; like Solor, Chewie, Princess Leia; and some new faces as well – and of course Luke.

The movie is not cut; and there are no spoilers/surprises after the trailers.

Don’t get me started on the millenium falcon – ah, memories!

Speaking of the trailers – found out there that portions of the film were shot in Abu Dhabi.

Thank god I didn’t go to the 9:30 show – that would have seriously pissed me off.

Do you guys think I can watch this on Emirates flight next month? If Bridge of Spies (which is still being shown at the Grand Cinemas) is available onboard Emirates flights, then I see no reason why I can’t watch this on Emirates flight next month!

I was totally disappointed with the theater quality in Hamra. I saw the 10:15 showing in 3D. However, the movie seemed to not be focused nor did it seem to be in HD. Lastly, the screen itself was dirty and damaged.

For a luxury mall/theater….the experience was shit!

Yeah KNCC kinda messed up the Avenues 2.30PM Friday show. As the movie was starting the people with lighsabers and trooper customs were hyping the crowd and did a small show, then the movie kept playing but the lights went on… we can only hear the sound of the movie, people were screaming in anger. After few minutes they turned the lights off again, and stopped the movie to rewind.

If they want to keep doing this I hope they do it before the movie, they can just play the theme of Star Wars, no need to start the movie.

I have no idea what you knuckleheads on here are talking about cutting/edited scenes. The movie is rated G for crying out loud. Leia and Han are not lovers anymore, they only hug! The previous 6 Star Wars were rated PG.

I think what KNCC was trying to do was admirable, we miss out on the whole extra mini events that happen at highly anticipated movies such as star wars or Batman vs Superman or civil war or xmen or other what ever they may be, its a nice first attempt and they probably didnt want to do it out side the theatre for the surprise effect and so no agad would come and try to be funny and spoil annoy the actors. We need family and kid focused events and this was a nice way to introduce the new generation of kids to the star wars universe, and im assuming they will learn and make sure what ever they do that it happens pre movie, (also fix the food section please)

also i hope they face up to any possible religous backlash for wearing masks or whatever silly reason that one or two people find.

keep improving KNCC we can at least have the best cinema in the middle east.. eventually.

I watched in Abu Dhabi at the Grand Cinema there and it was TERRIFIC!! I am pretty impressed with what J.J. Abrams did.
