Infamous Kuwaiti rapper Big D retired earlier this year with a pretty odd resignation letter. The main reason he left music was because he started believing music was a sin and that the rap industry as a whole were advocates of the Devil. I guess he no longer believes that because he’s back out of retirement with a new video. Sadly it’s a pretty boring video, he really should go back and get the guy who produced my favorite video of his that had the trashy looking girls drinking fake wine. At least that was entertaining to watch even if you didn’t like his music.

It seems as if he spent his ‘retirement’ at work for the oil company using Google to find big words that rhyme. I bet the Sons of Yousef would be pissed knowing he’s using their name in his sad cry for help. Soooo, he thought it was a sin to rap yet he uses 666 and other symbols of rage in his video. As a jazz musician living in north america, i cant tell you how brutal this is to me. Even to the friends that enjoy rap and perform professionally here, i play his stuff for them to see if im bieng biased and their reactions are much harsher than any comment you’ve read on 248am.
Big D , i get you want it badly, but unfortunately wanting it is not enough in this day and age. You are simply not meant for the music industry. Perhaps try playing an instrument or something to satisfy you? i recommend something basic such as the triangle to start. with 1 note, you cant possibly go wrong.

Well I don’t like his music either (closed the video after like 30 seconds)… But he clearly loves doing this, and there’s no harm in doing it. And as a musician myself, i know the happiness that comes from doing my music.

Without taking any sides … the video needs to be a few frames quicker. Saying is one thing and presenting it is another, especially when you are a performer. English subs seem to drag once said and you can make out when the cut is over. Cuts need to blend with one another.
