Kuwaiti rapper Big D has a new music video out called Killah. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny it’s pretty impressive how many music videos he pumps out a year. [YouTube]

I want to say this is a very amazing video an how KGR pulled it together im a very big fan of Big D an supporter he’s open my eyes to see how life really is he is a very talented artist by far I’m very proud of him an all the other artists that made this happen much love an respect always my #1 keep it coming cause we are ready for” Killah” an all the the next ones to come Peace! โ™กโ™ฅ

as usual shitty. but this video is by far and away the funniest, especially when they caught the fat guy and shoved him in the car. Great way to start the day!

And Mark it seems that your uploading most of his songs, do you think he is good?

I think he’s entertaining and committed. If you’re wondering why I don’t post that many other music videos it’s because no one else is making them.

There are plenty of Kuwaiti music videos, they’re all in Arabic. They don’t have to be in English for them to be music videos -_-

So they got a fat contractor guy in Mahboula and made him run…..that’s as far as I got cuz’ when he started rapping I had to turn him off….it’s bad enough I have to see him everyday at work and now on your blog, ugh, he’s annoying as hell and what’s up with mohawk hair do?

Big D posted something on his Facebook wall a week ago now I have realized what he said was very true… I’ll copy and paste it. He said:

“With all due respect – Arabs never fail to amaze me! They will never understand hip hop. I have some people that see what I wear in my music videos, or they see what I might be holding in my hand, or they analyze my crew and the people that appear with me in the video. DUDE! Seriously what your focusing on is not important listen to the rhymes, the lyrics, the beat, wordplay, the message, the flow that type of stuff. Please stop focusing on what brand of shoes I have on.”

Salute to Big D preach my brother! Now notice this guy ^^^ “crazyinkuwait” he judged the hair, the victim in the video, he said D is annoying then he said I didn’t even watch the rap. Which proved D’s point. Peace.

I’m from California where real hip hop comes from, so don’t even go there and as I said I see him every day at work so I see the “real” him so keep talking out of your orifice (I’m sure you will have to Google that ter). And from his quote “Seriously what your focusing on is not important listen to the rhymes, the lyrics, the beat, wordplay, the message, the flow that type of stuff” well let’s see here, rhymes “suck”, lyrics “suck”, beat “3adi”, message “is there really one?”, the flow “mmm nope”. That about sums up his defense on his suckiness. I watched him rap for all of 1.5 seconds so stop analy

Not every single person in Cali knows hip hop, It seems that you rep Cali…. or maybe you think you do.. Talkin’ bout you coming from Cali where real hip hop comes from.. Listen man you tryna rep Cali.. how about you put out a video clip of your own instead of talking so much negativity about someone else’s craft. OK so yes you are entitled to your own opinion and have the right to share them. FINE, but the remark you made about having to Google was below the belt and a pointless comment really.. This ain’t Havard or Yale.. So his grammar isn’t perfect NO ONE’S GRAMMAR IS regardless of what they say, I don’t give a damn if you have a PHD in English literature.. your grammar is never 100% perfect. Anyways that’s beside the point.. you said his rhymes, flow and lyrics all suck? Well I would love to see you come up with a music video and see how you do. Not every artist is appreciated and you obviously do not appreciated his work so the best you could do is criticize decently like tell him why you do or do not like his work instead of saying this sucks and that sucks and how you come from Cali…. Big D doesn’t even know you, if you work with him I’m a 100% sure he ain’t you’re friend because he doesn’t roll with fake people plus nobody cares where you come from, we are all just people nothing more nothing less.. It does not matter where you are from, what matters is YOU. It is so easy to type smack about someone’s work.

You my friend must be in his “gang” by the way you type “tryna” or maybe you’re the fat contractor guy in video. I “ain’t” his friend anyways as I don’t hang around kids who act like “gangstas” I prefer real men. Let me put it to ya like this “bro” – from a famous lyric by Kris Kross…….. “Cause’ inside out, it’s wiggida wiggida wiggida wack”. You might need to Google their name cuz’ I bet you aint’ schooled about rap from way back. Booya! Right back atcha kido.

Men Hahahha you don’t even know the definition of a man Big D is the type of guy you always dreamed to be he is making history in the hip hop scene in Kuwait what are you doing other then sitting like a girl behind the laptop criticizing and full of hatred trust me Big D has enough friends true friends that got his back what do you have he might teach you a bit about manhood! P.S KGR ain’t guys trying to be gangsters just some people that love hip hop and making music for you’re information KGR are not those Zalamat you see in hawally not those kids in Marina Waves not those people walking with Dr. Dre beat headphones in Malls. KGR is a movement we are soldiers of music we have people reppin’ KGR in the U.S in the U.K people with music degrees sound engineering professionals, and experienced film makers fans in Germany, South Africa, Europe, Brazil! Rappers that graduated from american schools and English schools in Kuwait with jobs and a respectful personal life. So what you know about that? Nothing….”Mr. Cali” all you know is how to comment back with jokes like a clown! Cheers man.

“KGR” Kuwaitis Getting Retarded? Soldiers? Bwahahaaha…. wait until they approve the draft in Kuwait then you can claim to be a soldier. First off moron I’m not Mr. that would be why I made a statement about real men. True, I’ve always dreamed of a short guy with a rooster hair cut to sweep me off my feet, whatever. “L”

Just because nobody likes your “art” doesn’t mean you’re mean you’re misunderstood. Is Big D forgetting that he’s an Arab too? Tell your buddy to learn to take criticism.

D held it down on that new video and the bass on that beat go hard! Like Mark said he keep doing work while haters just keep hating! There are hundreds of rappers in Kuwait but Big D is working harder than any other rapper in Kuwait or the Middle East no competition he is ending their music careers and proven himself alot of people can spit raps and shit but to put the imagery and the production is another thing. Hella props to Big D for the way he put everything together nothing you see in these Music Videos was done easy and Mark realizes that I might not be a blog owner and I might not be a rapper but I bet owning a website like 248am is a lot of work and making non-stop music like Big D is also hard work but the persistency and commitment is what separates 248am from any other blog in Kuwait and Big D from the rest of the rappers in Kuwait, plus this is high quality sound and Big D has a vision and he is making it happen his stuff is actually really good not whack at all, Nice video quality, Nice production, lyrics were sick, imagery was 10, hook was nice, I dig it!! Big D you keep these videos coming and we need shows prove to everyone that its not a game you coming for something I salute you my brother!

Big D is an old friend of mine and I know for a fact that he would NEVER write anything just to promote himself or to honor himself. Some people may or may not fully understand his music but than again an artist uses his or talent to express themselves.. anyone else who uses it for compliments or fame without a cause are just plain glory seekers who crave attention. Big D is definitely not a glory seeker nor is he an attention seeker and I can certainly vouch for that! So to all the people who decide to post negative comments about someone who is just doing what they love to do: Get a life and you talking nonsense about others will get you nowhere in life, so yeah I understand you have your own views but come on… we are all adults here and there is no need to talk smack and try to destroy other people’s images for your own personal issues whatever they may be.. You have issues!? FIX THEM, instead of acting like a bunch of girls having their montly menstrils releasing b*tch hormones on the internet. Seriously this world has enough bitches so please do not patronize this bullsh*t…..Thank You

When you have too much money and an overinflated ego, you can afford to put out video after video. Quantity over quality, because they’re certainly not improving.

Very true. I am from NY, where Hip Hop is rather big. These videos remind me of Bollywood: a whole lot of crappy movies.

Yes hip hop is big in NY but that doesn’t mean everything you know hip hop is all true just coz you come from there.. It reminds you of Bollywood ?? HAHA! How would you know unless you watch Bollywood movies, yeah that’s so gangsta! how about you quit trying to be a rap analyst and go watch your Indian movies.

Who is to say he has a lot of money? Let’s assume he does have a lot of it, that ain’t a bad thing is it? that is just some lame excuse to criticize him.. how about you comment on his craft more efficiently. FYI It shouldn’t bother you if you think he has a big ego which by the way he doesn’t. Your comment seems egotistical and before you comment back with negative remarks to me to his work I suggest you see if you can do better and back it up by actually doing it. Actions speak louder than words. If you wanna talk the talk try walking the walk ๐Ÿ™‚

Sweetheart, one of the videos on his youtube channel is him bragging about how he has a slow loris – the ONLY slow loris in Kuwait supposedly – an animal he most certainly shouldn’t have. Endangered animals WHO SHOULD NOT BE KEPT AS PETS are expensive to get and to sneak in, and if it’s the only one here as he claims then the exclusivity alone racks that price right up.

Furthermore, my point was that he can afford to waste our time and his own money with these subpar creations, not that having money is inherently bad. I appreciate the hypocrisy of you telling me it shouldn’t bother me if he has a large ego while complaining that I’m egotistical (let me know about the last time I made crappy music in which I constantly praise myself for my nonexistent talent and then made my friends attack anyone who criticizes me for it), but not half as much as I appreciate the ridiculousness of acting like you’re only allowed to have an opinion on something if you make it. Don’t comment on books, restaurants, video games or music. By your logic, you don’t get to have an opinion. You didn’t make me, so you can’t criticize me, sorry. And seeing as you’re not the one making awful music, you don’t get to comment on his work either.

The best thing about these music videos being shared here is watching his friends crawl out and try to argue with people. It never fails to make him and them look worse.

The videoclip was dooooope big d he killed it with his unique style n flow at this point i think there is no space for competition , its crazy to see this big artist jumps from a level to a level i guess thay sky is the only limits for this hardcore Lyricist, Respect!

WTH are you “moe”, his promoter or manager or as I think, a fellow “rapper” do you and your rapper buddies still hanf around Sabarro in Salmiya? I remember years ago that’s where all the “gangsters” used to hang. No guns or violence, just pizza and a ride in the “low riders” lol

It’s not gang violence it, he is envisioning the victim as a hater and what his dark side would like to do to haters, he is showing that everyone has their limits and when those limits are crossed, there is no saying on what a person is capable of doing. Poetry don’t always have a happy ending as it’s also about reality and real life as we know it NOT sugar coated. He is not promoting violence and if you actually know him personally than you would know his character and that he is nothing near violent, in fact he is a likable and very social person. Stories told well should have all the details even the negative parts for example, Tupac Shakur (may he R.I.P) was the best rapper that has ever lived. A lot of his work was about violence and gang related beef, however you cannot deny that his work was actually a story and art. I am not comparing Big D to Tupac, that is just an example. You either love the artist or hate them, however if you hate em and can’t appreciate what they do than it’s best you stay neutral unless your criticism has any contribution what so ever i.e. yeah I like your music because or I do not like your music because…. etc and that’s actual decent feedback. No need to be uptight posting negative comments or comments that suggest something that is not true. Understand his work before you comment. Big D is not a promoter of violence of any kind. He is a very peaceful and laid back person. n19 if you think that was promoting violence than you obviously haven’t seen the other rappers all over Youtube dressed up like 50 cent talking about being a G and smoking pot and whatnot hahaha.. Although your comment wasn’t so nice I thank you for posting it because if you hadn’t posted it, I would not have been able to share this with you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

this is painful too watch.. from a kuwaiti. Like those horrible people who appear on X factor auditions lol. Cringe

The Saudi rapper Qusai is better than he is and he doesn’t have to cuss and act like a thug to be a rapper, I don’t see “Big D” being invited to host Arab Idol. Qusai carries himself like a gentleman, dresses well and is so freaking cute.

Qusai probably has connections plus his co host Raya is married to a billionaire from Saudi Arabia where he is from.. hmm obvious isn’t it..

S.O.O.N. in the building…
First ….You not respecting KGR hustle Kill Yourself…KGR chasing dreams what you doing….Song is called Killah. Kill the Game> Kill Yo bitch> Kill you little NI99AS… You shouldn’t have been born Abort them Ni99as…

Second….Back on this 25/8 Hip Hop….Im not your regular Rapper who just be saying this shit. We Live this shit . Seen blood sweat and tears like a Rugbeet locker room. Biig Dee. KGR is a force to be reckoned.
2014 keep them heads ringing….

Third….Misery Loves company…Dont forget that….Killah Major Moves..

It’s like this. There are a LOT of Kuwaiti rappers. When I was there making music videos for them and documentaries and for other people, I met most of them. None of them worked as D does. You might think he is silly or not serious but he tries to come across that way in a lot of his videos. You think he was going for realism in this video? Obviously not. It was for fun and a comment on the people who constantly try to drag him down. Even if you don’t like him you should at least respect the man’s hustle and work ethic. Besides you think all rappers started out killing it in every way. Hell no. Also look at half these retards that are signed in the states. Lazy rhymes, lazy beats, lazy videos. Just whack. And people love it. And I’m. Not just saying this stuff because he is my friend. I know the guy yes and he is a genuine dude. A lot of other rappers and artists I met over there were false facade wearing frauds. With D what you see is what you get.

Doesn’t hold a candle to Big Mo, only worthy rapper I’ve heard from Kuwait so far. I love how his “crew” is defending him in the comments though, lol.

He releases a decent amount of stuff, I’ll give him that. But I don’t see any improvement in lyrical content or flow/delivery, or anything since the first video I’ve seen him do. Kuwait’s rap scene needs more competition.

First time I see that, both were rather okay, but Big D’s was more lacking. BigMo at least had some better wordplay.

You think he slaughtered him? lol. Not even close I’m afraid. Actually overall that whole battle was very amateur-ish.

I don’t know which rappers “Big D” looks up to, but I think his game would benefit a lot if he took inspiration from some real rap.

In fact the whole Kuwaiti “rap game” could use some major inspiration and a face-lift. They should use competition to better themselves, too. Petty dissing doesn’t get anybody anywhere.

good stuff….something different from the rest of the locals…i.e. eat cup cakes, gossip n bitch & the blah blah blah….. Oh i forgot … Repeat ๐Ÿ™‚

ูˆุด ุงู„ุณุฎุงูุฉ ู‡ุฐูŠ ูŠุงุฎูŠุŒ ุชุนู„ู… ูƒูŠู ุชุบู†ูŠ ุตุญ

all i see is wannabes, with thick arab accents trying to act like tough western thugs..

i truly pity folks like you, promoting this violent junk.

First of all were not promoting sex drugs or violence were simply meeting demands and trying not to steal or portray ideas from other rappers such as all these other so called real middle east rappers. What I have to personally say about Big D is he’s the freshest mind in the game right now. He’s loyal and acknowledges fresh ideas. You don’t see him stealing beats from other rappers an calling it a remix. He comes out with real fresh lyrics an music everytime. So all you haters..keep haten we appreciate it to be honest. It just shows that KGR is on the right path and their doin shit right. I’d feel offended if you people didn’t leave all these lame ass comments thinking we would get out of the game. As for thick accents and wannabe gangstas..nobody is trying to be something their not. Except for everyone that hates and calls themselves real rappers. KGR is headed to the top. It takes haters support to get there. Personally I’ve seen all these other wack ass Arab rappers thanks to my man Big D and he’s just on whole nother level so quit focusing all your concentration on hating on him an you might get somewhere. coming from ATL I know rappers and trust me when I say this partner..Big D is the realest in the East and the best. No matter what KGR will always rise.

YOU have no IDEA what you are talking about period and your rant only further confirms many posters points..

freshest mind? stealing beats? do you even understand the first thing about music theory? as a jazz musician i can tell you there is nothing original about anything heard about these “beats”. Im so sick and tired of hearing people call a regular 4/4 hip hop beat something original and exclusive and new… you clearly are clueless about what can be done with music ..

No violence promoted? you are clearly dilusional, i specifically remember a video where they pull out knives at the end.. thats just one example… im sure you were just promoting steak houses right? gtfo please..

Theres nothing fresh about his lyrical content, whining and complaining as he has a full time job, an endangered animal for a pet, and time and cash to travel to south africa to shoot the most ridiculous irrelevant video ive ever seen in my life.

I also tire of his minions crawling onto the blog to defend him… if he was so fresh he can come here and talk for himself “home boy”

and who the fuck is “WE” ? FOLK? everyone here is referring to one person..

KGR on the right path? doin shit right?? nobody is trying to be something they are not? i can take a few screenshots right now paste them together and show you how ridiculous you tools look. You get few positive youtube comments and you think you are actually something? and you speak of how nobody is trying to be somebody they are not? I literally LOLD and had to stop writing this post to compose myself again..I can address this point but it would require its own post.. mabye another time..

FOLK i cant tell you how hard i cringed at your groupie like post. Its clear you are just as lost. “haten” “doing shit right” “realest in the east” … grab a dictionary while you are it and learn to spell.

I truly feel sorry for you folks.. buffoons under the guise of “musicians” .. take a few music lessons actually understand how it works, and you’ll soon realize how regurgitated and sad your “music” is.

Just because a song rhymes.. does not automatically make it good RAP….

Its unfortunate that the top blog in kuwait has to promote this nonsense by constantly posting the videos. You are only encouraging this nonsense to go on further IMO…

NO ONE who enjoys QUALITY music will accept this .. Stick to your day job..

Whatajoke what song have you made? Video? Is your name whatajoke for a reason? I mean do the letters stand for anything? Let’s be honest to judge someone else without having anything out yourself looks foolish. Have fun living in your mother’s basement. Maybe you can start a boy band next year called “whatajoke”?

actually im assistant to a jazz professor at the university of toronto (the city which i reside, which i assure you is much larger than both our parents basements).

I also perform regularly at the REX which is one of the most famous jazz / blues bars in the country..

Also during studying for my marketing degree i was actually tutoring music majors for their final exams in advanced musical theory, composition and improvisation.

Ive taken master classes with the likes of dave liebman (look him up , im certain this name will fly over your head)

I appreciate your attempts at trying to flame me, but way to embarrass yourself even further.

Yes i can post some links and videos but id prefer to stay anonymous due to the quality of posters such as yourself and the “KGR CREW”

moved out of kuwait 12 years ago and havent looked back… except to laugh at “talent” such as this.

now brb renovating my basement

Duhhh.

Its quite clear that the people commenting here care a lot about the music they hear….(quite vocal about it)
…its a free world…If you dont like to hear a song…switch it off…change the channel…or change the song….

Harsh criticism of this sort will definitely kill the dreams of the singer….(assuming he is serious about a musical career)
Moreover, how is this sort of criticism going to guarantee improvement in the quality of his music..clearly the team appears steadfast and determined to produce more music to come…

…constructive criticism produces a positive change….(noone is perfect)…obviously the singer needs better clues to his flaws..in a kinder fashion

….destructive criticism brings about a negative change…. (makes the singer and team defensive, mentally blocking them from acknowledg their flaws; also discourages any future budding talent from taking small steps in fear of being ridiculed on forums like this)
