I’ve posted a number of times about the dancing Filipino inmates (here, here and here) and it seems Michael Jackson was also a fan and used to watch their videos during his breaks. Travis Payne who was Michael Jackson’s choreographer decided he would fly over to the Philippines and teach the prisoners his routine from the film “This is it”. The result? Check out the video above. [YouTube]

Cooooooooooooool
pure amusingness.. the peace sign was kool !
filipino’s are talented…
This is the most accurate dance that has been done so far ! really like it
That was cool, I like !
this is absolutely brilliant! i adore the Drill!
simply amazing!
That is one cool prison.
so they let Travis Payne in front because he’s black and Michael Jackson was black so now it’s all about black? J/K :]
Why do you people keep reminding fans with michael, it hurts, I miss you Michael so much =( why can’t you just come back!
AWESOMENESS!!!! They finished the choreography in 2 days and was filmed by Sony Pictures with Travis Payne and dancers Daniel Celebre + Dress Reid. As bloggers would say, the effect is strangely powerful and moving. The end with the peace sign is apt. Michael Jackson lives! Looks like they got new pants + sneakers and shirts too!
Just goes to show that with proper encouragement and resources, even the most bad ass can do something productive and wonderful.
Great job Filipinos!
Prisoners in the phillipines get chucks?!? That’s horribly awesome..
“If I ever have to go to prison, please send me there”
That’s incredible! I love the last part..
This prison MJ thing is begining to get a bit old, as amusing as it was in the begining. it also seems that this is guy is trying to capitalize on MJ’s un timely death and trying to get extra fame and money….now where have I seen this before? oh yes…Notorious B.I.G and P.Diddy…similar scenario different decade and players.
Long live M.J.
