This is super weird. No idea how/why/what but somehow, for some really strange random reason, the Kuwait City skyline makes the appearance at the end of a pretty gory and gruesome music video for the heavy metal band ANTHRAX. That has to be one of the most random, weirdest and coolest things to ever happen to the Kuwait City skyline. Fast forward till minute 7:30 if you want to see Kuwait but it’s a lot more fun and bizarre if you watch the whole video up till that point.
Thanks Red!

There’s also a brief shot of Kuwait at around 2:46 in the MV of Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson’s song…

wtf did you just make me listen to??
hahahahahaha i’m sorry!! not a fan of the song either, but hey, it’s a shot of Kuwait in a relatively famous producer’s song ^-^
Kissing scene definetly wasn’t done here tho I know that for a fact. As soon as you touch your woman society comes and gets you.
Trash song btw 😂 How’d u come across it
Why do you find it weird? It’s a great Gothic representation of the of the sponsorship system lol, it’s even in the lyrics mate:
“Break me from this hold as I unfold blood eagle wings”
was kidding, before someone tells me to leave the country, am already out.
Props to whoever has good eyes. I don’t find it so weird in the context of creative development and artistic direction. Putting yourself in the shoes of a director, you need an urban skyline that is other-worldly, post-apocalyptic, or, vitally, not immediately recognizable to a Western eye.
That is when Kuwait enters from stage left. It fits the description and because it is not a tourist destination, out of all skylines, it would be the least recognizable.
Now, it is irresistibly delightful that the visual themes of the video very much match the hell-hole that we all know and loath. (!)
Of all the city skylines they could’ve used why did they chose Kuwait?
I find Kuwait’s skyline unique, how skyscrapers blends in harmony with old buildings, the spaces between them, various architectures, the warmth and state of tranquility it provides.
Coz it looks like all gloom n doom??
This could be just me 🙂 my interpretation:
At the start of it, the ‘Skull head guy’ appears to be probably looking at something kinda like the OLD CITY WALLS OF KUWAIT, back from the 1920’s & 40’s. Then there is Sand… and that Skull Head could be Saddam (??)… And the Gory scene just could be the POW situation… then there is the final fit in the title “Eagle”… Freedom paid with the price of Blood, then ends with modern day skyline of Kuwait today. IMO connects the dots for Kuwait? The VID is intentional perhaps!
LMAO! Pretty sure the last thing on Anthrax’s mind was to make a song about a tiny country in the Middle East. The Blood Eagle was a form of execution used by the Vikings, nothing to do with Kuwait.
probly they are just looking for the best chapati store there 😛
But to be completely honest, IMO the song is pretty good… And I don’t even listen to this kind of music.
Because that video is available on shutterstock 🤣
