The Bounce – Brix

[YouTube]

Brix is another Kuwaiti rapper and up until a few minutes ago I had never heard of him until a reader shared the link with me. I’m curious to why a lot of local rappers seem to be able to produce music videos while other kind of music genres aren’t making them. I know there are a lot of local bands so why aren’t they producing any videos?

You can follow Brix on Instagram @brix_q8

Well better than Big D any day, That’s right mark look to others instead of shoving Big D down our throats and his fake support system. 🙂

LMFAO! Did you watch the lyrics on YouTube to this music video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzzUgLeTIH0 read the lyrics these are nursery rhymes my 6 year old brother can write better than that especially when they write “YOU” as “U” clearly explains the genius mind of the rappers you looking at. Where I’m from “Southside” really Kuwaitis from the “Southside” Big D is realistic he offers “Wordplay” “Lyrical Craft” “Multi’s rapid punchlines factuallism metaphors something to think about not listen and become stupid after you hear it. The only thing that is actually “FAKE” is people like Zeno that officially proved Kuwait has no idea what hip hop is if you actually think this is better than Big D I deeply pity you and now I have a clear understanding of your ignorance you made it clear to see that your just a lost stupid moron!

Hahhahahahahahahahahahahahaa I ain’t Big D homey I use to work in the same place KNPC I seen his written stuff and Big D has superb potential I’m just a listener stating the truth if the rap is good I’ll say it’s good if it’s bad I’ll say why it is bad. LISTEN DUDE I will explain once and for all so you have a clear picture about my judgments “Brix” is entertaining no where near a lyricist or a English rapper though 6 years olds in “NY” can outdo him. But “Brix” has a good choice of beats and the recording quality is good I give him that nice video quality but terrible in rapping because his English is very weak “You can’t make western hip hop with bad English that will never work” maybe he should try Arabic rap that is my advice. I would chose Arabique over Brix no brainer although I’m not a fan of Arabique but he’s much more sharp Arabique has strong verses man we can’t compare Arabique to Brix… That’s like comparing Big Pun to Vanilla Ice and Aied is actually doing his thing as a “Official Rapper” I’ll give him that “Arabique” ain’t no push over but Big D is much more vicious Arabique he is too commercial and too soft video quality music production is bad and his choice of beats ain’t that good arabique should stick with singing not rapping he is a much better singer than a rapper. Now my boy Big D good beats good lyrics his flow can improve but lyrically he is THE BEST good quality music production and good quality videos and his dedication is strong as fuck he won’t ever quit and he can outdo anyone that steps up. That is why I prefer him that’s all.

uhhhh seriously? as a native english speaker i have to say, there are TONNES of grammatical mistakes in Big D’s stuff. Ridiculous – his english is definitely not 100 percent

Why do you waste so much time insulting people who will never agree with you? Really doesn’t make you look any smarter. it’s kinda pathetic tbh.

I think it’s harder to create music as a band and to continue making music on a consistent basis. No matter what anyone says rap is easier to make than some other genres.

Obviously as a band each member needs to learn how to play at least the basics of their instrument and how to sound decent as a collective. But anyone can learn how to throw together some basic chords and lyrics, just like how anyone can write some “lyrics” and “rap” them.

But rap actually has a lot of layers that the average listener won’t be aware of. It’s not just rhymes but flow, delivery, lyrics, etc. Also I don’t think you realize how easy it is to make a top 40 song, they’re all the same. Yet most artists don’t make their own music or write their own lyrics. (Proof that it’s easy: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit.com/comments/f6hpq/these_two_guys_create_a_top_40_pop_song_in_8/)

What’s truly difficult (IMO) is for a band or artist to evolve their music with every release, as opposed to just being consistent. Because it’s easy to stick to a style once you’ve found one that works (look at old metal and rock bands that are still around), but it’s hard to keep reinventing yourself. And just like any genre you’ll find hip hop that explores new creative ideas, and you’ll find a lot of crap.

The guy was wearing an AP Royal Oak Offshore when he was busted and then a fake (pause at 0:58) yellow gold Rolex Yachtmaster II in the interrogation room. I loved the video though. 🙂

I guess I’m starting to see a trend in these rappers but they need to rap about shit they actually relate to, that’s an ingredient they’re all missing that’s a big part of good rap. If you wanna rap about killing people, selling drugs, etc. At least make it believable lol.

These dudes (all of ’em) need to make songs about cruising on shari3 el 5aleej and ordering a falafel on rest. street lmao.

I’m so bored with these copy cat videos.
Make hip hop truly yours.
Don’t rap about the “south side”, talk about Taima.
Stop showing girls dancing provocatively, show the support system the diwaniya dudes give you.
Stop flashing money and cars, etc, when you are realistically buried under debt.

I’m bored with hip hop in general. It’s all about money and girls when in truth it was about trying to survive a tough situation.

Having said that, the production was good and the song catchy. Good luck to them.

Check out Mark’s new hiphop post featuring my music video. It’s off my album, Both Sides of the Sand and the track is titled “Stuck Between.”
I’m a Kuwaiti-American hiphop artist and song writer based out of Portland, Oregon and I am making hiphop my own.
Hop you enjoy it.

Their fathers must be proud. What the hell is this egghead talking about ” I don’t date girls that keep their pants up”, um whatever, you date 14 year old Russian girls like the one in your video. These so-called rappers are coming out of the woodworks, this is one of the first ones talking about, south side, bricks, and other things he has no idea about.

The beat is totally copied but he’s still better than “Big D” which of course is not saying much. He should go to the dentist or get some gold to cover up that grill.

Guys don’t go to far, this is entertainment after all 🙂

No ones should do these in real life, and take these things

literally.
