BurgerFuel coming to Kuwait

BurgerFuel is a New Zealand based fastfood chain with branches already in UAE and Saudi Arabia. As part of their expansion they’re now planning to open a branch in Kuwait. [Link]

I admit, I’m really terrible when it comes to business in general so I don’t understand how more burger places are opening in Kuwait, a small market thats already over-saturated with burger places. Am I missing something? Is there really still room for more burger places?

It doesn’t matter if Kuwait is full of burger places or not if you have competition you should always start your business if we played by your rules the US would have no more new businesses in anything !!! πŸ˜€

I tried Burger Fuel in Dubai and it was by FAR the worst thing I have eaten in my life. Just pure disgusting. Hope this is just a rumor

Ali Wadi wanted to express his opinion, which I, as a completely different reader than yourself, appreciated since I was wondering if the chain was “any good”

a person who hurridly expresses their opinion about an obscure burger chain likely had a memorable experience that others could benefit from, even if the benefit lay merely in the experience of imagining what a horrible burger would taste like.

as for not going back, what if ali wadi has a life changing revelation and decides one day, when the restaurant opens, that he’d like to try it again? I think its only for him to decide, and for us all to not give a fuck

I know you love hamburgers and I’m sure many people do…. but I’m one of those people who only eats hamburgers maybe once every 6 months; ESPECIALLY now that I know about “pink sludge”.

Yeah, variety is great if you are a continent like the US or NZ, but I’m with you, Mark. I just don’t know how so many of the same types of restaurants can survive in such a small demographic.

Interesting. Didn’t you say and i quote “There’s always room for one more burger joint in my book.” and now you’re suddenly changing your view? Is this because your original idea was just something you were told to say in your post or have you decided to get a new book to follow?

There is always more room for another burger place because I am a burger fan. Doesn’t mean I can’t question this from a business perspective.

mann, dont you know how sacred words are on blogs? one. must always. be. politically. correct. which is ironic because your blog is far from political. I was planning on throwing in a political joke, but out of respect… for your blog… I didnt. I’m usually outrageous, though. Let me tell ya

After trying almost all burger places in Kuwait, I can surely say that from now & on no-matter how many burger restaurants open, NOTHING could possibly beat Elevation burger!!

I just wish they had delivery, I love it so much that I pay an extra 6 kd (using mr.delivery) just to deliver from avenues/alhamra to my home πŸ™

u kidding me? Elevation Burger is the worst burger in the world. come on man you serious. u need to get out more & try real burgers. kuwait doesnt have great burgers but Elvation is 1 of the worse.

BurgerFuel?! Well, they can open inside the fuel stations, they are the only places we have that they don’t sell burgers!

Best news ever for this kiwi! I know there are so many burger places here but their menu is definitely unique and gourmet. Hope they bring the Kumara fries and Organic Honey Cola, as well as all their yum vegetarian burgers. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

Can’t wait try it…..but how can i give up Johnny Rockets and Queens burger? Tough, but i must try new burger places.

I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if they put a couple of the others out of business. If you think you’re good enough, you’ll enter any market, no matter how saturated, because you think you’ll pull business away from the other guys. The open market then decides who survives.

Here are the kind of restaurants that are in Kuwait:

50% Burger Joints
40% Yogurt Shops
10% Coffee Shops

And thats about it :/

They must be following the “Homemade Cupcake Business Model” which operates on an infinite growth premise and works tremendously well for Kuwait.

Yet another disgusting burger joint. I vote for more boutique places like Ubon, that serves authentic Thai food.

They are opening only because there is demand.

Once the marginal utility rate comes into existence the their sale will decrease.

And looking at Kuwait current progress in terms of infrastructure which is going to attract more population and expansion of lands, and more malls will be built. This craze might be go on upto many years without any loss.

Well Kuwait is economy stable, people spend money . So investing here is more profitable. There is demand, money and supplier. Win win situation.

If u look at how many shawarma places are located so close by, every corner has one and yet most of them do pretty well. Burger is just the new shawarma I guess! I agree with Rehab. But burger places are just trending in Kuwait at the moment. Couple of bad businesses and it will start to slow down.
