Sheikh sends car to London and back for oil change

black lambo

A Qatari Sheikh sent his Lamborghini by plane all the way to London for an oil change and back. It sounds fishy because if there isn’t a Lambo dealer in Qatar why didn’t he just send the car to Dubai or Kuwait? [Link]

Thanks Rashid

ULLA!!! He is sending his Lambergini all the way to London just for a Fuck’n OIL ChaNGE!? WTF!!!?? Does his Dad even know that his son is doing such an act? Ok we all know that a Shakih is rich but using his richness for something as rediculous as this is just crazy. Yeah something is definitly fishy and I don’t mean oil.

According to Newspaper of today the Oil Change costs around $7,000 !

So the big surprising issue is how can he spend around $40,0000 for the trip to change oil of $7,000 !

I find $7,000 for oil change is f****** insane not to mention the $40K

Floosa zaidah mayadre shesawee fehom
most of qatar guys likes to show off coz they r rich and blah
7imdilah wishikir

You know! I think the whole thing is stupid ! if this was really needed and if I have that much money I would fly the mechanic to Qatar.

he might be vacationing in london, so he shipped off his car so he gets the oil changed and then show it off in the streets of london. its very common. if you go to london in the summer there’s a big chance that u saw some fancy cars with emarati, qatari and saudi registration plates. so im guessing thats why.

as for the article.. it has to be catchy so some ppl will read it at all.

I think that he just went to London first class on Qatar airways which lets you ship 1 car if you go first class. So he probably just took the car with him, and changed the oil. Too much publicity, seeing that all the rich people from Qatar take their cars to London that’s y u see so many supercars in London with Qatar plates.

It is his car
his money
and his uncles airline

People are just jealous because they can not send their jeeps and nissan Altima’s to london for an oil change

Because the oil in London is classier than the ones here >_>

Tbh rich or not, it’s just stupid, changing the oil somewhere is cheaper and no different than changing it somewhere else.

Gah let me fix this… “Changing the oil somewhere close is cheaper and no differ than changing it somewhere far”

Got to learn to read my post before I hit submit -.-“

qatar airways have a deal where if you fly first class to europe in the summer from qatar, they will ship a car for free for you. maybe he flew to london, got his car oil changed there and then flew back.

secondly, maybe some of you people don’t agree with the way that he is spending his money but just because he can afford to do so, and chose to do so, doesn’t mean you have to get jealous and make rude personal comments. it’s none of your business what he does and you have to respect that

7amdila wel sheker! Thats just stupid! If i had that much money i wouldnt even care about an oil change, cuz i can buy 5 of the same car! Bss tefelsef oo Mo shayef 5air!

Why not pay For a Crew of Lambo Professionals to come to his door step and change it for him while he’s in his Pajama’s

I thank God our Sheikhs aren’t as insane as these people. Our Sheikhs are way richer, yet they act like normal people? What does Qatar have? Nothing really. I was in London last week, and every car you see in Knightsbridge has a qatari plate number. It’s disgusting. I have never seen a Kuwaiti plate in London or anywhere outside Kuwait. At least us in Kuwait “Shayfeen Kheir”, and don’t care about showing off our cars. Just sick.

True….^^^ But its not only Qatari people Dana when you go to Monte carlo you will See different plates From London to Germany and Even USA and UAE … so i think its Ok

Monte Carlo is the billionaire’s playground. London or Germany are less than 1000 miles from Monaco. The “Real” rich people go there with their cars, and they didn’t take the cars to show them off. Flying a car from Qatar is just pathetic if you ask me. Hatheela 7adhom London & Cannes, let them come to Monte Carlo, and we’ll see how they’ll compete…

dana….ITS FREE SHIPPING…why not do it.. and the guy stayed in london he didn’t send the car solely for the oil change..

plus ur sounding even more “mo chayfa ‘7air” ur categorizing rich ppl as in london ppl r lower that monte carlo’s?
he likes london more..kaifa..ya3ny lazem aroo7 monte carlo to prove im rich..WTH!!

and i’ve seen q8y plates on bentleys in front of the Churchill hotel bala 7achy fathey ….

Long live the camries. Just take them to the workshop at the end of the street and get the job done.

Dana… funny that you think Monte Carlo and Cannes are any different. Both are filled with Arabs in the summer and are slowly losing their charm and attraction with the resulting commercialization of the places.

‘Real’ rich people don’t say ‘real’ rich people. That is all.

Dana… tarra il floos moo mosaba8a willa li3ba… walla law feehum 5air chan yaw monte carlo.. wain ga3deen?!! thany shay itgoleen well see how they compete??? game koora ohwa!! allah yhaddach bss… il salfa kilha inna qatar airways y5aloon illi yishtiry tathkara 1st class idiz sayarta lai london ib balash… bss… fa laish ma yisti’3iloon hal fur9a oo y6arshoon sayaaaraathum?! ya3ny ga3ed itgoleenly law il kwaitiya kannaw msaween 3ar’6 chithy chan moo kilman illy rakib 1st class daaz sayarta london??!!!

Isnt it way cheaper to rent whatever car you want in London? I mean consider the transportation costs, import taxes, insurances and so on 10 years ago, no way you would see cars with plates from Qatar. it’s only from the last couple of years after Qatar’s “gas boom”. So, I think they mght still haven’t got accustomed to the sudden massive wealth yet. But back in the 80s some some rich Kuwaiti’s were no different. I remember some rich families importing a whole fleet of cars with drivers and all. Some of them imported (and Im not kidding..) their own furniture in order to spend a three month london holiday. And I dont mean government-representation families, I mean wealthy a-political families. So, I guess its a matter of perspective.
But at the end, everyone is free to do with his money whatever he or she would like ?

Qatar airways is running a summer offer where they transport your car to UK with first class tickets. The amount spent on transportation (and the idea of taking it to UK to get an oil change) was imagined by the ‘journalists’ at the telegraph to have a decent story.

I agree with K its another English tabloide story about the rich Arab Sheiks, oh and:
Brits yes we have a lot of money to spend on our pleasures and we are not going to give u any :-p

“It sounds fishy because if there isnt a Lambo dealer in Qatar why didnt he just send the car to Dubai or Kuwait?”

Bragging rights..

This is just happened to get media attention, thats all. Loads of other people all over the gulf (and a few from around the world) do stuff with their money. Lavish indeed but hey- who are we to comment? Its not our money.. We go on holidays, waste food, splurge while some child dies of starvation every minute.. Its all the same in essence.

Dana- as a Qatari, I do take somewhat of an offense at your comment. Not all Qataris are like that and you can in no way compare us to Kuwaitis. Who cares about whether is Cannes or Monte Carlo?! I’ve personally been there and can vouch for the fact that there are more arabs than anyone else! You’ll spot LOADS of Saudi Royals, actually.

Meanwhile, people in GCC countries (and I’m not saying just Qatar, Kuwait or any one in particular) are dumpster diving for food and items they can sell – just to live. Others are working (and not being paid) 20 kd per month.

God hits with an invisible stick.

I’m skeptical when i read stuff in tabloids, & the Telegraph is not far from one, but even if he did – it’s his money; he’s free to do what he pleases with it.
The term “wasting money” is relative. some people might think that what this sheikh has done is “wasting money”. extremely poor people could look at us and think that, for example, owning more than 1 t-shirt is “wasting money”, or driving to the co-op instead of walking to it in 10 minutes is wasting petrol money. it’s all relative to what we’re used to.
all i can say is il7amdilla 3ala il ni3ma & allah yhanneeh (thank god for what he’s given us & may that sheikh enjoy his wealth)

I’m in the UK right now and the TV covered the oil change story the end of last week. The news readers were laughing incredulously at the whole situation. It made me feel really embarrassed to think the way that Gulf nationals were portrayed because of this reported act of greed and selfishness….. Hey, there is no smoke without fire right? Why doesn’t the Qatar sheikh employ his own mechanic if his car is that important to him? At least it would reduce his carbon footprint a fraction (as if he cares anyway…)
