CNN have put together a list of the 10 must-read blogs from the Middle East and my blog made it to the list! This is what they had to say about me:
Want a break from politics? Try 248am for a slice of Kuwaiti life
Mark Makhoul, 32, a creative director at an advertising agency, began his current blog, 248am, in 2005. Mark’s wife Nataly Tawil, a designer, makes occasional contributions to the blog. The pair are both Lebanese and live in Kuwait.
While it may not offer the political insight of some of the other blogs on the list, it does present a slice of life in Kuwait, covering art, technology and more, with lots of reader contributions.
And it’s not entirely without controversy … Makhoul is apparently being sued by a Japanese restaurant chain over a negative review.

how sad that a non-kuwaiti is being acknowledged. We have some good Kuwaiti bloggers that should have been recognized
U deserve to be there. Even though I’m in Canada now and won’t be back in Kuwait for a looong time, I still check your blog on a weekly basis.
I started reading your blog about 1 1/2 years ago when I got my iPhone. I became addicted and added this app on friends iPhone. I really didn’t know anything about you and after reading this report, we realized that my husband has met you for work related issues and that you are Lebanese.
Congrats and keep up the good work!

I first started reading your blog back in 2005 a year after I moved to Canada, I wanted to stay in touch with what’s happening in Kuwait. Took a break when things got a bit busy, but started reading your blog again in 2009, I then really did notice that your fan base has grown considerably, So props to you for that!
