In Lebanon

I am going to be in Lebanon for the next few days. I got here around 1pm and first thing I did after dropping my bags home was to head up to Faraya and have lunch at a place called Jalset El Erzal.

The weather was really great and the food was amazing. The strangest thing though is the fact the sun set at 4:30pm here. It’s 5:20 now as I write this post and it’s pitch black out side. Very weird…

I know what you mean, although i like it a lot more locally having a some shine at 6p.m, and that kebab photo is killing me, i’m guessing tomorrows lunch for me is undoubtedly lebanese. Enjoy your stay there!

the sun sets at 4:30 because they rewind the clock 1 hour for the winter timing,a worthless thing to do. The food looks amazing thou

Am goin there this coming friday do you recommend wearing winter cloth at this time of the year or summer shirts?

Hey mark hope you enjoy your stay in Lebanon! Usually when schools start they change the time.and Mohammed the weather is nice we are still wearing short sleeves just get a light jacket it gets a bit cold at night

Maaaaark go to a place called the cave “le cave” they also say el mghara a restaurant in 3youn el simein ask about it, and then tell us the expereince there.. awesome place gr8 food all labneh and cheese are home made… trust me you’ll buy some on your way out 😉

You are so lucky to be there, saw your twitter photo yesterday of your lunch table, makes me want to go home, Hopefully next month. Never thought I would say this, but I miss the getting dark early, that way you get a longer evening :)have a nice trip:)

The food at El Erzal is not bad. Usually go there in the winter when its all snow since you can sit inside around the fire, eat baked potatoes and have a Lebanese mezza. Yesterday was actually planning to go to Al Balad in Faqra but turned out they were closed. There is a place near to my home called Baladi in Jeita, might have lunch there today since I heard that place is pretty good.
