Yes I like shawermas and it seems a lot of people know that because before I left to London around a million people recommended I should try the shawermas at Ranoush. Ranoush Juice is part of the Maroush group of restaurants which are extremely popular in London and the place was located near my hotel on Edgware Road so I decided to go ahead and try it.
Good shawerma in London? I found that hard to believe and I would never have believed it had I not tried it for myself. I’ve been reviewing shawermas for a while now and its always difficult to describe the taste of a shawerma, its not easy to explain why one tastes better than the other or why it tastes worse. It’s mostly because its not one single thing alone that makes a difference, its a balance of a variety of things and this was the case with the shawermas at Ranoush. There wasn’t anything particular I could single out about their shawerma which made it special but it was. Maybe it was because I hadn’t had a shawerma for a week, I don’t know but it just felt really good having it. It felt comfortable and so perfectly balanced. The garlic wasn’t too strong but wasn’t too weak, the chicken was great and the cleanliness of the place was top notch.
Price sadly was out of this world for a shawerma, 3.25 Pounds which is around KD1.900! It completely blew away the previous record of 750 fils for the Villa Fayrouz Express shawerma but luckily for Ranoush it’s in London and KD1.900 for a shawerma is a great deal in a city where KD5 burgers are practically the norm. This is why for the final score it gets a 4.5 out of 5.

Shawerma is high in saturated fat. If you continue to eat this stuff, you will have an early and slow death. Your sex life will be shot to hell as well.
Good luck
Bil 3afiah mark … happy to see 4.5/5 stars outside Kuwait 😉 … i would still recommend you to have a visit to Al-Wali Restaurant in Nizha area where they serve the best shawarma in Kuwait …. as vampire did in a previous post ; )
Have you ever tried “Triple S” shawermas??
I thought that you would give it the best review, its the best shawarma ever. and you didn’t mention that its big. 1 shawarma can make you full.
I just want to say that some times we travel all the way from Birmingham to London (£15 a ticket + 2 hrs trip) just to enjoy those beautiful shawarmas and lovely falafels 😀 (well, it happened once.. or twice)
for my self ill give it 10 out of 5 🙂

wallaw ofcourse i know rock restaurant, had it all the time while i was in uni. max it would get is a 3.5 though.
Rock is the normal average shawerma in Lebanon. I bet Triple S’s will get at least 4/5

5/5
I think it also has something to do with the meat and chicken, I am assuming that they healthier and just taste better! For that price it better be good!
Balanced garlic you say, do Brits eat a lot garlic, I know those from Indian origin do? I don’t think so.. probably after drinking Lager 😀
for Rannosh’s chicken shawerma i can give 5/5 .. but for the meat shawerma it is absolutely 10 out of 5 ! .. Believe i’m meat shawerma addict and IT IS the best in the world !
what Ranoush? the BEST BEST BEST BEST shawarma in London (and the most ridiculously filling one) is in Green Valley near Edgware road!! (I know, yuck Edgware but they do have fantastic shawarmas!)
it’s one of the worst shawarmas i have ever eaten
i tried ranoush juice chicken shawarmas for the first time recently and it was the best i have had in london. better than all the others on edgeware road….juicy, fresh, filling… i had 2!
