A couple of days back I headed with a friend to AAB World in Symphony Mall to check out the Sony A7R II camera. She wasn’t planning on buying the camera from them since we figured it would be much cheaper from Amazon, but she did want to check it out in person before placing the order. When we got to AAB World to our surprise we found out it was actually considerably cheaper to buy the camera locally, which she ended up doing. Below are some popular camera price comparisons from three brands to Amazon, keep in mind with the Amazon prices below you still need to add around 8% tax and the shipping fee to Kuwait in addition to Kuwait customs. So the actual cost is even higher. AAB World is also slightly flexible with their prices, if you’re buying other stuff along with the camera they’ll more than likely give you a small discount.

Most of the brands from AAB from black market. my friends had bad experience with this store.
i think you mean grey market. also it would be helpful to everyone if you stated what kind of problem your friend had.

Well i know differently and never faced an issue with them , grey (black) market or not i don’t mind as long as i’m getting a brand new fully functional product moreover i have never visited their service center and left without being fully satisfied.
I doubt that. They’re the dealers for several huge photo/video brands such as Sigma, Blackmagic Design, Profoto, Zeiss, etc. If you actually go to these brand’s websites and look for local dealers you will find AAB World listed exclusively.

None of our products are of grey market , all products that we sell fall either under our warranty or the local agent warranty.
90% of the products we sell are exclusively distributed by us in the state of Kuwait and other brands are either bought from the local agents or some times our own import if the local agent fails to satisfy our clients in means of pricing and after sales service.

Gray market??!! I purchase many cameras from AAB , their items are 100% new and coming from original manufacture as they are an authorized and exclussive agent of some brands.
Indeed AAB people are professional and the best in market.
I don’t think they sell grey market stuff. I’ve bought a Samyang fish-eye and Sigma prime lens from them and both came with company warranties. Plus the prices were more or less the same as online prices!
If you have a problem I suggest you visit the AAB store in Shamiya Coop basement or Symphony as they are really good at what they do. I’ve not had a problem with after sales support.
As a photographer, I can honestly say AAB rocks!

I bought a couple of items and cameras from AAB and I am always very satisfied with their customer service personnel and the quality of the products as well. They even helped me deal with some problems with the items i have bought from them like dust on the sensor of my camera (my fault) at no extra charge. Very helpful guys and overall good customer service. That is some good aftersales support. I couldnt say anything less for AAB. And, if anybody thinks I’m being paid to post this comment, NO.

I saved KD30 buying my Nikon on Souk.com than getting it on Amazon and at the Base Exchange on Arifjan.
If you are buying from grey market there are other options as well. for example lowest online price for Nikon D810 is KD 685 against AAB’s KD 799.

AAB has been doing wonders for us photography enthusiasts here in Kuwait! After having experienced their excellent product line up and attractive prices, I have introduced lot of my friends to their showrooms and they have been saying the same too! There also has been an instance where AAB management personally called me up on phone to follow up on a feedback I had submitted on their website/portal.

I love the fact that we find many products under one roof. Sometimes they are cheaper and sometimes expensive, it all depends how urgently you require the product. My first interaction with AAB actually got me closer with a photography club whois member I am since 2 years now 🙂
