you know what is scary? There are nukes today that have the capability of causing as much as 50 TIMES MORE DEVASTATION than the one that hit Hiroshima. Can anyone imagine that? One bomb causing 50 times OR MORE than the one that hit Hiroshima?!

FUCKIN-A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sad thing is, a recent poll shows that 61% of Americans think that it was justifiable even though the Top US military commanders at the time themselves admitted it was unnecessary to use the A bomb on the Japanese.

Truman’s chief of staff, Admiral William Leahy, stated in his memoirs that “the use of this barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no material assistance in our war against Japan. The Japanese were already defeated and ready to surrender.”

General Dwight Eisenhower, stated bluntly in a 1963 Newsweek interview that “the Japanese were ready to surrender and it wasn’t necessary to hit them with that awful thing”.

America did a good by helping post war Japan become the great country it is today, but the bombings itself means that they don’t any moral authority to decide who has permission to pursue nuclear power or not.

it was a game of power politics aimed against the Germans and the Axis at that time. America needed to prove a point and sadly the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki piled up to form the power platform for it to say: “Hey motherfuckers! Mess with us and we’ll fuck you up like we did these two! Now who’s your daddy…bitch?!”

Basically, the US wanted to be on top of the food chain for when it comes to power hegemony and stay there…which they are doing right now….and doing a very good job I might add. But then again, history stands witness to all great and powerful nations to have their way with the world…let’s face it for they’ve earned it!
