There are a number of places to get your digital photos printed but my favorite place is Boushahri in Salmiya. I’ve been going to Boushahri ever since I was a kid when they were THE photography store/studio. Nowadays things are a lot different. They moved from their large location in the old Salmiya Salem Al Mubarek street into a building off of Baghdad street. They’ve even closed down their portrait studio and all that’s left really is a tiny store that sells a few Fuji and Leica cameras and a corner where they print photos.
I like them cuz they’re conveniently located near my place, they’re not in a mall and they’re fairly quick. If I have a few photos they usually print them out while I wait and if I have a bunch like 30 or more I usually pick them up a few hours later. Their prices are pretty cheap as well, a regular small 10x15cm photo costs just 100fils to print while a larger 10x15inch photo costs KD1.5.
They open every day (except Friday I think) from 9:30AM to 1PM and then again from 4:30PM to 9PM. Here is their location on [Google Maps]

My Father used to take us there for our annual family portraits and we still carry on the tradition !
They still do portraits and frames. There is a small passage way at the shop that leads to a workshop in the back where they have all kinds of frames and portraits to frame art work. I just went there two days ago and its pretty cool.

Try mrbabu.com print shop. I just tried it out and quality was fantastic. Its super convenient because you upload the photos on to their website and they deliver it to you next day.

Well i get mine printed for 0.050 Fils for the regular size 10X15cm at Local Photo Studio here in Salmiya Block – 10, on a Matt Paper. ;). Sometimes u do get a discount if u have large no. of pics to be printed.
Do they do large prints? If not can you recommend a place to print and frame large photos? I’ve asked a few places and the prices quoted are insane.
No, Boushahri portrait studio anymore??? No commercial studio thad used to be there also? No place for people to obtain pictures of every family event. Lot of people worked there. Including me. There was also large lab with many printers, processors. All gone? Reduced to camera shop? Pity.
