But seriously, what the hell are these people protesting anyway? You want to change a government, go to the polls! Burning tires and smashing shop windows is savegry not democracy.

@Sakr your comment is quite ignorant. One can make a joke about a muslim and say isn’t that a terrorist?

@Nobu, going to the polls will never change the government. The polls have and always are rigged in any country. Its the duty of the citizens of a country to uproot its corrupt government as oppossed to punching a ticket for another corrupt one.

It started out as a stand, led by innocent “Red Shirts”, against corruption. Now it’s just thugs and anarchy seekers who’ve exploited the situation.
Even the “Red Shirts” don’t like what’s going on now.

Now that’s a breath of fresh air, having people call out a racist comment (kinda unusual).
@Sakr, you’re “Asian=Jet Li” comment is in bad taste, especially given the context.
But, I like your comical silent treatment response.

Am i missing something or did Saqr say something else than the guy resembles Jet Li?

I am sorry but i didn’t understand he meant Asian= Jet li. He does look a bit like Jet Li.

You don’t need to take everything in a racist context. Most stand up comedies and tv shows in the US are filled with racist jokes, on which most of us laugh.

@ Yao: In agreement w/ you 100%…….the thai army started being all violent. isn’t the country really run by the one guy after all? and the polls are just fronts….kind of more polite version of what goes on in Egypt, Jordan and ho ho ho ..even Kuwait!

until one day we have our own peaceful protests in Kuwait!!!

Doesn’t one of the guest bloggers on here occasionally poke fun using a sterotypical e-imitation of what an asian sounds like? I’ve never seen anyone retort about that.
