Nabati Store – Only Vegan Products

I found out about the website and app Nabati from a vegan friend of mine, it’s an online grocery store that specializes in only vegan products. They check the ingredients for each and every product they sell to make sure that what they’re selling is totally vegan making the shopping experience super convenient for vegans.

My two best friends are vegan, well one is an ex-vegan now but I’ve spent a lot of time shopping with them to know it’s a slow process of having to read the ingredients of items they haven’t purchased before to check and see if they’re vegan or not. Having a store where you know everything they’re selling is vegan-friendly takes a lot of hassle out of shopping.

Have you ever met a sad vegan ? Don’t they all seem happy ? Seriously every vegan or plant based person I have met has made me think its the right way to go.

Overpriced because supply/demand. Only a very small percentage of the population is vegan and third party sellers and manufacturers are charging high to stay afloat in this small market, especially in Kuwait. What would be better is if large grocery chains here have a dedicated aisle for vegans, but I suppose even those chains look at this as wasted space as you won’t see a lot of foot traffic there.
Also, meat is healthy, but going vegan reduces per capita greenhouse gas emissions significantly.

Slaughterhouses aren’t the root of the problem. This is about cows producing large amounts of methane in their lifetime which is way more potent and harmful to the environment than carbon dioxide. So more vegans -> less cattle birthed -> less cattle rearing -> less methane released into the atmosphere.

(I’m not vegan)

Its also about the Calorie in calorie out ratio.

it takes 14 calories of plants to produce 6 calories of meat (considering you dont eat the whole animal, the bones and so on, but it still took calories in to grow)

that’s grossly inefficient and that’s why the meat industry alone is responsible for more emissions than all forms of transportation put together,. It’s a huge, huge concern. but who cares right?

Rice, beans, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds…
You are right. Only few chosen ones can afford vegan food…
Sure, some products are more expensive than their counterparts. Milk for example. But I would rather pay more for oat or soy milk then drink nipple juice from a breastfeeding mother after her child was taken away from her right after birth.

Yup, if it’s a male child, off it goes to be reared and then onto the chopping block, if it’s a female child, then it’ll be milked when it’s ready, until death, and then again to the chopping block. But of course, none of that is shown to us, we only get to see a fresh piece of raw steak in a clean packaging printed with attractive logos.

And just saw how much steak is. The average is 7 kd. There’s one 35 kd 🤦🏻‍♀️ Bou.. what?
I can eat 3 days with 7 kd.

Thank you! I actually find this super helpful. My baby is mega allergic to eggs, dairy and a bunch of other things. We still want her to enjoy normal childhood treats but everything seems to have dairy and eggs in it. Thanks for sharing.

The only good vegan product I tried was Haagen Dazs fruit-flavored vegan ice cream, it’s just made from pure fruit and it’s delicious; I recommend the mango flavor and raspberry flavor. The other vegan product I’ve tried was Ikea’s veggie dogs and they weren’t great.

The Hungry Vegan, Naughty Vegan, Mock, Vegano.q8, Vivid. Fully vegan. All delivery only.
Ginger in Kuwait city, Vterra, fully vegan.

It’s good to see the vegan and organic market picking up as it’s one of the best ways to prevent health issues as you grow older. At the same time, eating these healthy foods will undoubtedly maintain positive mental and physical wellness.
