Last month I posted that the UFC Gym would be opening up at Assima Mall, but since then Assima have announced that a few other brands will also be opening there.
The upmarket French department store Galeries Lafayette, the French retail chain Monoprix and the National Geographic store are three new brands that will be opening at Assima. The Assima project is located in Kuwait City across from KIPCO Tower and is expected to be completed in 2019.

All the big department stores are stopping by Kuwait on their way to the graveyard. I hope they make it work with GL.
.. which of these stores posted are dying out? Cause I checked all 3 and they are all showing market growth so I don’t know what your on about.
Surely, there won’t be a bookshop.
As book stores go they are totally illegit in Kuwait.
I like bookshops but they’re dying around the world, people don’t read like they used to and you’ve got digital books now competing against print. In Kuwait I don’t think we don’t have enough English speaking book buying expats to sustain a large bookshop. Its why we have smaller ones.
On the contrary, books and bookstores are making a comeback.
Sure and so did records, doesn’t mean it would be a profitable business opening up a record store today.
I would just be glad if they have parking 🙂
It will have a multi-story car park building plus there is parking in the basement
