Where do you Clean your Sneakers?

My friends and I are looking for a good place to get sneakers cleaned. Previously we used to use the service KLEAN but they’re no longer around. Delicates in Salmiya clean sneakers but they’re also super expensive charging KD15 per pair compared to the KD2.750 KLEAN used to charge.

If you have any recommendations let me know in the comments.

Adailiya coop, right behind where Hardees is there a bunch of stores, and one of them is a shoe cleaning/fixing shop, that is my go to guy. I once took my Ultra Boost (which was insanely dirty and worn out), and he pretty much brought it back to life as if I had just bought it

Oh for ultraboost try throwing them into your washing machine with a towel. That’s what I do once a week for all my ultraboosts and they come out brand new. But I can’t do that with leather and suede sneakers.

Oh cool! Thanks for the heads up. Should I wrap them in the towel, and what settings to you put it on? And do you put a little detergent?

Sorry about the many questions but I am probably trying this today

I just throw a large towel in there so there is less banging. I put a regular amount of detergent and I just wash it on either the quick setting (30 min wash) if I’m in a rush or the regular cycle (around 1 hour 20 mins) if i have the time. I keep water temp at coldest so 30.

yeah i have a triple white, it doesn’t shrink. with my previous triple white i used blue comfort softner once and it ended up staining the shoe with a blue tint. Went after two washes but never used softner again.

I bring my leather and suede foot wear for repair/cleaning/maintenance to a shop behind the postal office of the big cooperative complex in Farwaniya. Cool Filipino dudes ready to serve. There’s also a lot of shops for these kind of shoes in Maliya. For sneakers, I just buy a quality cleaning foam spray and do it on my own

I took my white cloth based sneakers to a shoe shine guy who used that foam spray. It has bleach. It has left yellow stains that appear a day later on a brand new pair of adidas. Do not use the spray on whites.

There is a shop in the same complex as Royal Terrasse Restaurant, on the first floor of the shopping space that handles all sorts of shoe maintenance. The ultraboost’s are not their specialty, mentioned by the shop in charge himself. Their prices for cleaning are just 1 KD per pair.

There a place in the Jabriya coop the one that has the kfc and Burger King right by, I’m not sure what the name is but it’s right next to the juice shop I’ll notice it it’s the place filled with shoes, I take all my shoes there just got my shoes back and really good prices I cleaned my nmds for 0.5 kd and 1.5 kd to fix my dress shoes they were really scuffed up and I got them back looking brand new Fr I’m not sure how but I’ll upload pics if u want I don’t have before pics tho

There’s also a place in the big co-op in Jabriya, where they clean up shoes and return it looking as good as new.

For me I go to a little shop in salwa here’s the location you keep Pizza Hut behind salwa hospital in your right and family appliances in front of you so you see a passageway between the hospital and the salwa family appliances store there lies a shop that fixes shoes and cleans shoes really well they also make custom plastic covers for your luggage

The is a guy near Muthana who does amazing work on shoes. I took over 15 pairs of shoes for cleaning, polishing, alterations and all of them came out perfectly new (mostly brands in delicate fabrics and leather) Plus, the prices are perfect! They have an instagram account where you could check out some before and after pics. @shoexpresskuwait
