The authorities must catch the person who killed him. It must have been a stupid accident, but the killer must pay with life in prison at least. Stupidity is no excuse for taking somebody else’s life. You kill, you pay.
It wasn’t a hit and run. It was a hit yes but the guy who hit him is the one that drove him to the hospital and he handed himself in.
Ok, in this case it was an “honest” accident, but accountability is still there. Someone should compensate his family and children who are left without a father.
The person driving is forced to compensate the family. That’s the law…
Kuwaiti law treats this as an accidental death and the driver has to pay blood money to the family, I think usually 16,000 KD.
16000…Sameer’s shoe lace is worth more than that to the people who love him…إنا لله و إنا إليه راجعون
Poor guy. I wouldn’t be able to contain myself with the guilt.
I can’t imagine myself what this guy is feeling right now and that is without the must of compensation to the family which i am not saying is wrong no, it is the right thing but i just really don’t want to be in his place right now.
الله يرحمة و يغفر له

Where was he jogging? Was he jogging on the road? Was there not a jogging path in his area? Let him not die in vain, but encourage jogging/walking paths in all areas in Kuwait that are safe from traffic. Don’t let this person whom you all admire die in vain.
May he RIP.
I think runners should start paying attention to safety. joggers should be visible, especially to drivers. So they should always wear bright clothes or clothes with reflective gear or lights.

Hope people get more education on safety.
