Jade Yoga Mats

Since I joined Alive Yoga a month and a half ago I’ve been going practically daily which turns out my 2 year old Adidas yoga mat just couldn’t handle. All the sweat along with the fact I leave my mat in the car ended up warping my mat and it just started looking very ghetto. Not that I have an issue with a ghetto looking yoga mat but because it was warped it wouldn’t stay flat on the floor anymore and move around. So I started looking for a new yoga mat. Alive Yoga sell the Manduka PRO mats which feel ridiculously good but are also heavy and large so it wouldn’t fit into my yoga bag. The other model they sell is the Manduka LiveON which is what I was considering getting until I read reviews about how the mats warped if left in the car.

Finally after a bit of research I ended up finding a phone number of what I’m now calling my “Yoga Mat Dealer”. The dealer sells Jade Harmony yoga mats (68″/black) which are probably one of the most popular yoga mats. On Amazon for example over 1,150 people have reviewed it and have given it an average rating of 4.5 out of 5. I ended up picking up the mat and I’m loving it so far which is why I wanted to share the dealers number. If you’re looking for a good yoga mat then this is a great locally available option. The mats cost KD34 which is slightly cheaper than if you ordered it from Amazon and had it shipped to Kuwait. If you’re interested send a whatsapp to 99683129.

Update: You can now find Jade Harmony mats at Alive Yoga. They’re selling it for KD27.

your research doesn’t stretch that far, lululemon is a far more superior brand.
Love how yoga is the ‘in’ thing in Kuwait

I couldn’t find lululemon yoga mats in kuwait, if you know of a place post it here so other people can find it.

Regarding yoga becoming the new ‘in’ thing thats because it’s becoming more accessible in Kuwait with yoga studios opening up. But yoga is the ‘in’ thing anywhere in the world for that matter anyway, it’s a mainstream activity.

Hi Mark,

I had done a bit of my own research long back, it is best NOT to use rubber, PVC or such materials if you really want to get full benefits of Yoga.

It is good use use mats made of natural material like Hemp or Cotton, as rubber mats will restrict your body’s earthing with the ground.

Just my 2 cents worth 🙂

Happy relaxing!

i’m just doing yoga for flexibility and to stretch my muscles because of weight lifting, not really interested to “earth with the ground” but i understand what you’re talking about

Ill stick with my simple domyos mat from decathlon. the only thing i dislike about it is, that one edge stands up a bit. Probably because i roll it up.

if you do yoga regularly and have a jade yoga matt you will end up purchasing a new one after 6 months because it wears out so easily and makes a mess. just fyi 🙂
