Abdulaziz Al-Refai, Moayad Al-Suwaidan and Faisal Al-Obaid are three Kuwaitis living and studying in Boston. They’re also rowers and they’re hoping to make it into the upcoming Olympics. The video above is a brief interview with them along with some footage of them training. [YouTube]

hey with the weather they can practice in kuwait
Nice one- Ifcq8.
Good for them!
Go go go! Go for gold or go home! Well done, you sure can do it. Just hang in there and train hard.
Don’t know why but reminded me of the Jamaican bobsleigh team.
Doesn’t matter if they win or lose as long as they try their best.
Hahaha, true! Inshallah they could do as they did
I played in 2000 Olympic games in Sydney, but in a different sport 🙂 try your best guys and good luck
Moayed is a friend of mine, and he posts training videos on his Instagram account. Mashallah, you can clearly see this means a lot to him and he is doing his best to make it happen.
Good for them.
Hey mark,
Happy to see this but as the main coach for these three guys I’d have loved to be the one interviewed instead of, or in addition to Bruce. Bruce has practiced some good soundbites for the sport but he has spent very little time with the guys.
Is there some reason I wasn’t sought out for this?
Also if you’d like to see the guys again, there have been some developments that I’m sure they’d love to brag about and we can definitely get some more involved training footage than just the three of them doing an easy rhythm workout with no coach.
After all is said I’m ecstatic to see the video, I just know if rowers watch it they will notice these things, which may not really matter in the end.
Thanks for all the support everyone!
Ellis
Hey Ellis, I didn’t conduct the interview, not sure who did.
