Last night while at the Kuwait Airport waiting for my Lufthansa flight I got the message above on my phone. They changed the departure gate after I checked in so Lufthansa sent me an SMS informing me of the gate change. I thought that was pretty cool.

Where are you travelling to?
Really? KWI-FRA doesn’t give it away for you? :/
It could be that Frankfurt isn’t the final destination.
KLM does that too. KLM’s phone app even lets you check in and they give you a QR code instead of a boarding pass 🙂
If these foreign airlines are going to choose to fly out of Kuwait, then they will have to pick up the slack of the Kuwait Airport Authorities. If you recall, Kuwait, foreign airlines highlighted the fact in the press that the air traffic control systems in this airport do not comply with international standards and stressed their fears of an impending crash if they are not upgraded. Reality Check.
Emirates has the same (they don’t have a phone app, which is really strange), but their mobile site allows checkin and QR code boarding pass.
Their app is also the only one that works with Passbook in Kuwait
Mark do you live in Kuwait ?
LOL
Emirates also does the same, and if you had an Android phone with Google Now, you would have also gotten the alert.
In fact, Google Now is more accurate than the departures board at KIA!
My case in point. Thank you The Real Burhan.

that’s nice
I use a tripit app on iPhone and on Android. Doesn’t matter what airline you use.
