Are you Traveling for Eid?

Since I just got back last week from my vacation I’m not leaving again but I’m curious to where people are thinking of traveling to. Lebanon used to be a popular destination but with the recent issues, a lot of people are steering away from it so I’m guessing Dubai is most likely the most popular spot.

Was checking ticket prices on the 2nd day of Eid – a return ticket to Dubai was in the range of KD220 to KD500+.

As much as I want to travel after 3 years, the ticket prices are out of my range right now 🙁

Thanks, I need to check that again. Last time I checked was last week, and even Flydubai was showing prices above KD220.

We booked to jordan few weeks ago, price range (120 – 140 kds) and now we were checking the tickets for a friend and they are about 200 – 250 kds !
And some are 300 kds !
I guess few weeks more they will be 300+ kds
It used to be 60 – 90 kds !! It’s so unreal !

Traveling Wednesday morning 27th to Barcelona. Looked at traveling at the weekend and ticket prices were crazy (it’s not just EID it’s also the May Day holidays across Europe) so decided that as I had saved lots of holiday days from last year to go a couple of days earlier, ticket prices were 1/3 cheaper and I get a longer holiday win win!

Not traveling for Eid. Only shortly thereafter to Khasab and Musandham in Oman.
Back in the day before the GCC-fication of all things nice including, things touristy – Cyprus and Iran would find pride of place as ‘go to weekend breaks’ for Kwt residents. Someday I am hoping to do the Caspian coast of Iran.

It’s really sad watching all the unpleasant issues that happening in Lebanon, especially when it comes to living in peace. I hope things will get better soon enshallah.

@ Armani. We hear you and feel your pain.
Similar to Lebanon, as an Indian- I miss not being able to visit the Kashmir Valley and Srinagar any longer whereas previously we would take off to Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg and the Pehalgam area as and when our minds took fancy.

It’s really difficult travel to Another Country because Some Countries still having Covid rules.
