Construction of New Kuwait Airport to Begin September

According to a source of mine, the Ministry of Public Works announced that the consortium of Al Kharafi and the Turkish firm Limak will begin construction on the new airport from September 1st. The project contract states that construction would take six years but Limak have stated they would have it completed in just four and half years. So if everything goes according to plan, the new airport should be ready in 2021.

easy said than done.. a project of this size, in Kuwait and only 4.5 years? I’d be happy if they could finish in 6 at least. Limak making tall claims maybe they don’t know how things work in Kuwait.

exactly! Limak needs to calm down a bit xD
they’ll know how things work here once the construction starts.

Can be done, Limak already done projects in Kuwait & delivered before before the deadline including the new cheast hospital, There is a strong well from the political leaderahip of Kuwait to finish the mega projects such as Kuwait’s new Refinery & The New terminal ahead of due date, Kuwait Airways new Terminal will be operational Inshallah in less than two years.

Non payment of worker salaries since May. It’s now being reported on Indian media apparently (a worker told me). They could get into trouble but seeing that exploitation of workers is not new in the middle east, the upper ranks of the company probably wont face punishment.

Where will all the luggage cart boys be did not see them in the video no one had luggage. Will the new airport have 1 or 2 people working in immigration?

good luck!

Idk but don’t we have like 2 officers working in the immigration like right now and before you even hand your passport they ask you to go to the next counter cause it’s their “break time” and have to deal with that long line all over again which takes more than an hour?
