Couldn’t understand anything ! But for sure the guy has some mental issues.
Something similar I had faced on Kuwait airways and thanks to the inflight security who handcuffed him till he fell asleep after being injected with anaesthesia !
One best thing about Kuwait airways is they have the inflight security which no other carrier has in this entire region !
Handcuffing him is fine, but injecting him with anesthesia is fucking crazy!!! What if he died from it? He might have a weak heart or other medical conditions. Also the security guy definitely has no medical training. Seems to me that once he is handcuffed why would you even have to tranquilize him.
Most of the carriers have inflight security. These carriers are just all smarter and more professional than Kuwait Airways. They conceal the fact that someone is on the flight watching you and everyone else’s every move, they want you to have a pleasant trip.
How would that make your trip more pleasant? Flying is stressful enough without having some idiot throw a hissy-fit in a small aisle, which would probably end up with flight attendants not letting ANYONE get up to use toulet/stretch etc. (happened to me on a flight once and it was horrible) + it would screw with the flight meal/drinks system.
I would prefer knowing there’s a security system on the flight to arrest drama queens + possible criminals.
But the tranquilliser is going too far… I feel like that’s definitely not legal.. Unless the passenger gladly took the Valium or whatever drug they gave him?
They probably just gave him their standard inflight snacks.

Yup !! I saw them injecting and then latter checked with the crew and they confirmed . But this all happened after the captain gave the go ahead cos that guy was just going insane.
It’s probably not anesthesia, but some sort of sedative. You can’t give anesthesia to people randomly, it’s dangerous and you need a specific dose. lol
It must be some sort of sedative! Anesthesia is NOT used to calm people. It is used before a procedure or an operation!

Aljazeera doesn’t even have asthma inhalers on board (ventoline or the sort) to have inflight security. A girl one had an asthma attack on board and they couldn’t do anything about it until another passenger gave her his inhaler.
Every carrier has security, they are usually disguised as a passenger.

He appeared mentally unstable or disturbed. I guess the airlines aren’t legally permitted to ask pax’s if they are under medication for mental illness prior to booking or boarding airplanes. However, if there aren’t any airline security personnel or measures in place to deal with this type of behavior then everyone could be at risk. If there aren’t security measures in place to assess risk then it’s probably only a matter of time for a serious incident to occur.
As pax’s we also have a right to know if we are travelling with potentially harmful pax’s if the airlines do not provide adequate security measures to prevent or deal with these types of incidents. This way pax’s could make informed decisions on which airline to travel. There is no guarantee but at least there would be more managed risk.
I was once on a plane from Vegas to Houston when a pax tried to open the emergency exit door. That was quite a few years ago. They didn’t have lock control measures like they probably do now so that flight could have proven fatal. Lucky for us the pax was restrained until the pilot had him locked up! We already have to take our shoes off because of one crazy idiot. What next?
What all people dont realize, you cannot open a door during a flight. Pressure from outside wont allow it. They can try all they want. Not like the movies. If the aircraft on the ground then thats different. Since your coming from Vegas, maybe that pax lost all his money…they dont call Las Wages for any other reason.
