Travelogue is a new short film travel series by Zahed Sultan. It’s a fast-paced video diary that captures the little moments Zahed gets to experience as he takes his music to different countries and cities around the world.
I was just thinking the other day of a cool way to document all my traveling and I think local musician Zahed Sultan cracked it. All I do at the moment is Instagram pictures with the hashtag #markinsomewhere. Some people collect shot glasses, some people collect fridge magnets and I’m collecting hashtags I guess. So far this year I’ve collected the following:

Why are you so obsessed with this guy? His music is crap, and this is like the 5th or 6th post about him. I am sure there are other musicians around that you can profile.
Besides the fact if you like his music or not, Zahed is probably one of the most active musicians in Kuwait. He’s always busy doing something and he’s good at PR-ing himself which makes it easy for people like me to find out about his activities.
There are a lot of artists in Kuwait and saying I’m obsessed with Zahed would also mean I’m obsessed with Big D, Arabique, Big Mo and whatever other artist I post frequently about. These musicians are active locally and they all have something I find interesting. They also happen to reach out to me. I’m sure there are other musicians out there but they’re not coming to me and if they do majority of them don’t have a music video or don’t have anything I find interesting that would be worth sharing.
So stop hating, if you don’t like his music that’s absolutely fine.
Quite cool and creative yet leaves you wanting more.
Atleast he has the will to pursue his dreams. Most of us complain about Kuwait, boredom, but end up doing nothing about it and remain here. Best of luck to Zahed.
