All thanks to mobile 4G from Zain and Viva.

If these tests only count landlines we would be rock bottom.

Interesting.. Mongolia & Vietnam have higher ranks than us…

Unrelated, but is it possible to do a blog post about shops working hours at malls here during Ramadan?

This increase is only as a result of 4G. When will the fiber network finally go live in the rest of the country :(

US UK and Canada is NOT even on top! so stop crying! LOL

“The value is the rolling mean throughput in Mbps over the past 30 days where the mean distance between the client and the server is less than 300 miles.” – as the majority of speedtest are done against the servers in the US and Canada, this explains why those two countries aren’t listed.

Asian internet speeds are known to be higher than in the US and Canada. Japan and Korea have super fast internet.

can anyone recommend a good ISP?
Im with Gulfnet right now, and in the last few weeks it became so bad that most of the time my download speed doesnt reach 40KB!!!!! and im using fiber optics.

Same thing here. Gulfnet was awful for the past few weeks. I think they started throttling torrent speeds, but everything else just became super slow as well.

Made the switch to Qualitynet. Not bad, way better than Gulfnet, but not amazing. We got the Gaming package which sometimes lets us get pings as low as 120 ms in League of legends.

WIMD is pretty good depending on your area. I actually get the speed I paid for and the upload is really quick as well.

Slow, like everything else in this country!

8.25 Mbps? Very funny! That would be awesome speed compared to what we’re getting right now. It’s like paying for premium internet but getting Dial-Up speeds…
