guy ended up selling it for 3.5, but it wasn’t road legal since it didn’t have paperwork and so can’t be registered.

yeah of course, that wasn’t road legal because it didn’t have paperwork not because the car isn’t road legal.
people usually buy cars like that when they just want to be used on the farm or at the chalet etc.. its not registered and most likely can’t be registered because the vehicles don’t have any paperwork.

You’re not understanding. A unimog is a road legal vehicle, but ANY vehicle that isn’t registered isn’t road legal. Meaning if your Camry doesn’t have any paperwork and isn’t registered then u can’t get plates for it and u can’t drive it on the road.
I get… But I just feel ur in for hassle cause it’s such an unconventional vehicle (I hope I’m wrong though)
Try the local Mercedes-Benz dealer.
They might have some source.

If I wanted a new unimog I would contact the dealer myself but I’m not looking for a new one.
I suspect this qualifies as a truck, meaning that only Kuwaitis are allowed to drive it, don’t they?
On a different note, there is one in Subhan in pretty much abandoned state, but maybe you can ask around and find out to whom it belongs to. Probably to one of the companies in the area.
