I just found out that Alghanim Automotive got a hold of the Honda brand in Kuwait. This should become official by the end of the month but the most exciting part of the news is the fact they’ll finally be bringing the Acura brand to Kuwait which means once the NSX (pictured above) gets released we should have it here as well.

Another car that hasn’t been introduced in Kuwait and is really nice is the Toyota Solara. It is a girlie car and I’m sure it would go over really well here.

I beg to differ. Google 2013 Toyota Solara. They are not discontinued and are still a great car.
They were already discontinued back in 2008, there was a rumor though that it would be revived in 2010. Those pictures that are on Google are actually concepts…

All the new Acuras are pretty shit.
I was always curious as to why Acura never made it here to Kuwait. I’ve seen the Honda ‘Legend’ here which is an Acura in the US, just as the Toyota Prado is the Lexus GX in America. The standard of luxury is definitely higher over here.
The Lexus GX became available in Kuwait when the latest model got released.
I believe the standard of luxury is higher in the states, Looking at the Land Cruiser it was filled with options and had the 5.7 L engine since 2008 where in Kuwait I believe it was 4.7 until 2010/2011
Even a damn Corolla is more luxurious in the States, dealers in Kuwait are shitty to a bad standard, hustlers and lack Customer Service.
I think that’s definitely true when it comes to ‘lower end’ models — such as the Corolla. Some cars are still sold here without a CD player! WTF?!
However, the higher end (luxury) brands here have far more options than the ones in the US. And some things which are standard here are options on ‘premium packages’ in the US.
Wasn’t aware the Lexus GX was available here now. Interesting.
Regarding the corolla example… In the US they sell versions with better specs because they are targeting probably average American customers. While in Kuwait such cars are mostly sold to expats and for companies uses.
in Kuwait, a starter car for someone who just got a driving license is a BMW 3 series, Mercedes c class, nissan Altima, Infiniti g class, Lexus IS, and Toyota Camry.
I think probably what you meant was:
“A starter car for a Kuwaiti who just got a driving license”.
Does that mean AlMutawa lost Honda?

Al-Mutawa lost the Honda brand to Al-Ghanim because of deteriorating relationship with the Japanese company and low sales in Kuwait. It’s in today’s Al-Qabas.

fact, acura used to be #1 car worldwide in customer service and reliability. Lexus came into the business & took its position. acura is still an amazing brand.
This is great news. I was told by the a person at the HONDA company that al-mutawa lost its dealership because they had shitty sales and lot of complaints from kuwait due to their expensive maintenance prices and spare parts. Most of the spare parts are not bought to kuwait and they end up losing their customers. Also Al-mutawa was really greedy in doing their business here.
Looks like Kuwait will soon have lot of Robert Downey Jr’s, when Acura fever hits Kuwait! 🙂

That is good news since Al-Ghanim service is 10 times better than Al-Mutawa. I have a Chevrolet and a Honda and the difference in service and customer relation in massive.
But what would you think will happen to my 60,000KM free service on my Honda car? till now I only at 15,000KM.
And what about the 5 year warranty? Who will guarantee my rights?
Honda kuwait is not Al-Mutawa company it is Al-Kazi Company..so Al kazi is poor and lack of management…they neglected the condition of Japan..

Stranger (above comment) is right. I have credible sources who say that Acura is in fact coming to Kuwait, but not with Al-Ghanim. More information will be available very soon.
I heard Al Mulla is bringing Acura and Alghanim Honda.

@Mark – You’re right about Al-Mulla bringing Acura to Kuwait. I have a source that knows this for a fact so I tried to look it up online and came across this page!
As for when, it might be as late as Q4 2014 till it is all complete (that isn’t confirmed).
Infiniti and Lexus have been in the country for so long! it’s about time someone got Acura to Kuwait.

Now alghanim has the Cars and Generators , just check the prices and compare it with Mutawa. Mutawa was selling very cheaper than now Alghanim. Lets Hope there services are cheaper than Mutawa
