Arby’s, one of my favorite fast-food restaurants has closed all their locations in Kuwait. I first heard about this from a reader a couple of days ago but didn’t believe it until I called them up myself to confirm. The employee on the phone said this was permanent but I’m still hoping this is just a temporary thing until the pandemic is over.
If you call them up right now you’ll get Johnny Rockets instead so maybe because of the lack of staff or resources, they’re putting all their focus on their big money maker. I hope that is the case.

Arbys was exceptionally lousy here (and I’m a huge Arby’s fan). I don’t know how they even survived this long. It doesn’t taste anything like Arby’s back in USA.
I don’t know about the whole menu but the roast beef here tasted exactly like the one I have in LA whenever I’m there
Noooooo!!! 🙁
There goes that glorious Roast beef T_T
Arghhhhh, i am so sad now 🙁
There was an Arby’s in Kuwait?
Yea, right? I think there were 2 or 3. I saw one in Jabriya and one sign driving on motorway off in the Abu Hasania area.
I wonder what their sales were like pre pandemic. I find Kuwait to be a very, very capricious market – it must be difficult to determine what will be successful here.
I met the owner and the American manager in Jabriya on their opening day.
Their prices were a little high, guess I’m used to the 5 for $5 they had in the states. Don’t get me wrong, I loved their food and Arby Sauce but I don’t think they had a lot of business. The few times I visited the locations were empty. What happened to Chick-fil-A coming to Kuwait?
Is it because of Covid?
Think Chick-fil-A wouldn’t budge on their Sunday off thing so maybe that got some mullas triggered
Nah those guys know nothing unless a group of fanatics point it out and it becomes viral on social media.
Im sorry but dolce and gabbana had dresses in the their window displays with santa maria and covered in crosses, they had earrings with crosses and t-shirts with a crucified christ. I saw kuwaitis wear all of that, there was a kuwaiti guy at the ministry of awqaf that was wearing the t-shirt with the crucifixion. The fanatics have minimal influence on the young generation especially those that would know Arby’s.
Honestly im not surprised. Anytime i want to order from arbys i always decide on some other fast food restaurant just because of how small their roast beef sandwich(which i honestly like) is and yet its price was too high for what i was getting in my opinion.
I guess this is good news. The less American fast food places, the better it is for everyone.
A sad day for our arteries.
This would have been devastating news if they didn’t take the Reuben off the menu.
I only use to have the Reuben, once it came off their menu there was nothing else worth it for me to order. I called and asked many a time, no clear response. Was a regular customer till then probably a weekly order at least for the whole family. When you dont listen to your customer base you should expect demand to suffer, i doubt i was the only one that had gripes. Its not like they couldnt have been doing well to start with since they followed their first store with others. In fact early on i would regularly see their small parking area in Jabriya packed and double parked.
Oh well second time they close down, maybe third time is a charm.
Johny is selling roast beef sandwiches now
Damn. I never got to try it 🙁
A lot of these restaurants that closed down recently could’ve stayed afloat if they just delivered through Talabat or offer their items through supermarkets as ready meals (kind of like what they’ve done at Dean & Deluca with 400 Gradi, Shake Shack, Blaze Pizza and P.F. Chang’s) and earn profits from there.
all the restaurants that gets closed down are Mark’s favourite.. lol
😅
