For the sneakerheads in Kuwait, there is an interactive exhibition showcasing some of the most iconic sneakers to be referenced in hip-hop music taking place tonight at the Visual Therapy Gallery. The exhibit is called “Walk This Way” and features local sneakerhead @KicksTQ and music by DJ Bonita.

The exhibition is from 6 to 9PM and it’s only taking place today, after that its gone. I’ll probably be there the whole three hours as well so drop by, check it out and say hi. For more info including a map of the location, click [Here]

Update: Turns out the event is till Saturday.

Guys, if you haven’t previously been to the K-Cats Cat Show then you have to, it’s one of those rare super legit events that take place here that you never knew about. It’s one of the biggest cat shows in the Middle East if not the biggest. Anyway check out the full list of this weekends events below:

The popular CATS Broadway show is coming to Kuwait next month to hold shows from February 9th to February 12th at the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre. Tickets just went on sale and start at a reasonable KD40 KD20 and go up to KD120. So if you’re interested in going, get your tickets now before they sell out from [Here]

The popular CATS Broadway show is coming to Kuwait next month and will be holding shows at the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre from February 9th to February 12th. The musical just premiered in Dubai last night at the newly opened Dubai Opera and looks like Kuwait will be part of their world tour as well.

Tickets are still not on sale but once they’re available it would be interesting to see how they compare to Dubai which are listed as follows:

Diamond – KD104 (1250 AED)
Premium – KD75 (900 AED)
A Reserve – KD56 (675 AED)

Diamond seats in the Dubai Opera are right in front of the stage. If you’re interested in watching CATS here in Kuwait, keep checking the cultural centre website for tickets availability [Here]

Note: After Dubai, CATS is heading to Qatar first and then Kuwait.

A few cool things taking place this weekend. There is the Kuwait Motor Show at 360 Mall starting today, you have AlSouq Market in Murouj tomorrow, you also have the Burgan Marathon Village opening tomorrow with live music all day before the main Spark Marathon on Saturday (Today is the last day to register!). Finally if you’re a Magic: The Gathering fan, there is a prerelease event taking place midnight on Saturday (so late Friday night) till 5AM at Good Game. Lots of great events taking place this weekend. One event which that doesn’t sound that exciting but should be pretty cool is the Auto Works Show. Although their instagram account doesn’t mention it, I was told most of the big car clubs in Kuwait will be taking part in this exhibition. From what I understood, the parking lots outside the exhibition hall will just be packed with all sort of classic and show cars. So if you’re into cars you should pass by and check it out. I found out about the Kuwait International Book Fair earlier today so I decided to pass by and check it out to see if there were any English books available. The book fair is taking place in halls 5, 6 and 7 of the international fairground and so its pretty huge. 95% of the books are in Arabic which makes it sound like there aren’t many English books but due to the size of the fair, 5% is still a lot. In hall 6 there were two large aisles stretching from one side of the hall all to the way to the other end full of English books ranging from educational and kids books, to novels and more. The amount of people at the fair tonight was insane and parking was crazy so I’d recommend parking far like at hall 8 and then walking over to the book fair. The fair is going to be there until the 26th of this month.
