Goodbye Datsun

240z-1

Next week would have been my one year anniversary with the 240z but yesterday, I sold the car. I didn’t want to sell it, but I’m getting another car and it just wouldn’t have made sense to own three cars. The night before I sold the car, I took it out for one last drive and it was just so sad. I felt like I was giving away my dog. Not sure why I was being very sentimental since I had the car for only a year. I think was because I was driving it everyday and had spent so many late nights at my mechanic making her a daily drivable car.

Luckily a good friend of mine who is a car nut bought the Datsun from me so I’ll still get to see it. I’m actually looking forward to seeing what he’ll do with it since he’s restored other old cars before and my Datsun could use a bit more TLC from someone like him. Watching him drive off with the car though was still a pretty sad moment.

So no more Datsun, it was fun while it lasted.

I remember my first xbox when I saw it in shelf. I felt sad everytime. Like I abandoned it. When it only given me good times.

Having to let a cool car that you love is hard. While driving in my old neighborhood I saw a 71 camaro rally sport same color (sun flower yellow) I had in high school. Foe a bit I felt young again.
Only it needed some work I wanted so bad to just go sit in it..

Did you ever take a picture of your father with the car? I remember you wanted to a Then & Now type of picture of him because he had a Datsun before.

Wow didn’t quite expect that haha… Congratulations!!
Mark, please please turn this into some sort of long term review I really want to know how well the exige is in Kuwait (traffic, reliability, heat, etc…)!

haha neither was i, but yeah definitely turning it into a long term review since i’m curious on so many levels as well on reliability, service costs etc..

I jus couldn’t believe u sold off your Datsun…No one ever sells anything that they love so much…And please don’t compare that to a dog…My dog passed away at 15 and I had spent a lot in his medical jus to see him walk every day…anyways, congrats!

oh the feeling of letting your baby go is so sad, so get a C3 Corvette and maybe we can hangout together πŸ˜€
