Not sure if all the parking lots in Kuwait have increased their prices but all the ones I’ve been to this month now have a minimum charge of 200fils for the first hour instead of 100fils.

i paid 250 fills in souq al watia in city.
salmiya city center is the same i think.
Free Kuwait, where everything is increasing except salaries.
Inflation happens all over the world though. If your salary isn’t increasing it’s your employer’s fault
you’re not really encouraging me to complain against CSC, are you?
Not at all, your employer can legally increase your salary by much less than you’d think lol. In a lot of cases that’s often a reason to find a new job though.
Even near the chamber of commerce they have increased.. 200 fils for the first hour and 100 fils then on ..
In fanar, if you want to park there for one or two hours, you will have to pay 2 or 3 KDs, crazy.
In NY I once paid $30 for 30 minutes.
I am sure it is because McDonald’s have increased the prices of all their sandwiches by 150 fils.
what? so now the double cheeseburger is 650 fils?
Better than $10-$30 fees I pay for parking in the States. Still dirt cheap and no complaints.
Just like Flat Rents are increasing day by day at the owners will. there is no law for this
Smiler thing is happening Here so no point. as there is no law for PAID Parking.
in States income is GOOD. and TAXES are more.
HERE There is no TAX but They are Inceasing the RENT and almost everything now a days lets hope of the BEST.
Depending on the source you’re using the average income in Kuwait is higher than the average income in the US btw
read the statement
In States income is GOOD. and TAXES are more.
well anyways Average income of Kuwaiti is good.
data only shows citizens income not expats income. so you have to keep this in mind always.
average income only shows its country citizens income. that will be around 750 kd average.
Its not about the increase in fees , but the quality of service they provide sucks as well and not matching with the increase , they offer no shade for our cars in this water boiling weather and the parking area is also unfit for cars with holes and gravel, I had to change my tires 3 times in just 8 months because of it.
What kind of service levels are you looking for parking your car in Kuwait?
Surprised that you still used to park at the same place! No wonder you changed the tire thrice!
The same company has many parking spaces all over kuwait and many of them are shaded and their parking area are well mainained except for this one and the one oppopsite justice palace in Kuwait city too, am just saying at least let their fees increase reflect some where in the service they provide and match their other well served parkIng space like
Salmiya and opposite ministries complex mirqab
hmmm… btw, where do you park your car? curious to know abt this parking which has given u a tough time!
In London it’s £18 for 4 hours
Yup – i used to pay 0.500 now it’s 1.050 …bastards!
I’m in Philadelphia right now and we’re easily spending $10-$20 a day on average for parking.
Parking on the street is limited and even if you do find a spot you can only park for 2-3 hours only during certain times and it cost $2-$2.50 an hour. You have to pay for the parking at parking kiosks and display the ticket on your dash in plain sight of the front window.
If street parking is closed, you have to find a parking garage that charges $18-$30 a day. If you do park on the street when it’s not within the correct timings, or if you stay parked longer than what you payed for, you can get fined from $75-$150, and if you get towed it’s a flat rate of $150 and $25 for every day it’s in the tow lot.
We should honestly bring this concept to Kuwait. No, not because of the ridiculous amounts of money the government would be making, but because it would clean up the streets of the bad parkers and of people blocking the road. Kuwait City would be so much better and easier to drive around and I think it will help reduce accidents.
