The new Land Rover Defender is finally in Kuwait, around a month late from it’s original scheduled arrival. The Defender has been completely redesigned and although I wasn’t sure about the design in the photos, in person it does look really great.
From my understanding, the first shipment is all sold out but the dealer has one model on display and I think they have another white one for test drives.
It’s definitely a car I’m considering swapping out my FJ for. Prices start at around KD16,000 but can nearly double in price depending on the specs. The one in the photo is priced at 25,000 but you can also build your own and price it out yourself on the local Land Rover website.

my build(mock build) cost 17600kd. kept as basic as possible, only added a 3rd seat between driver and passenger, front bumper protection and a steel panel on the boot edge. this car is meant to look rough and rugged not shiny and blinky!
Let’s be honest, 90% of 4x4s in Kuwait are Mall Crawlers. I doubt off-road capabilities matter much to the consumer

Any idea when the new Range Rover model comes out?
The Range Rover usually has a 10-year life cycle per generation. So expect the all new vehicle to be unveiled in 2022 and on sale as a 2023 model.

the floating body-color square on the rear window has to be the oddest feature I’ve seen in a while. I will wait for the Bronco.

This thing is nothing but a Discovery on steroids nothing will beat the legendary 110. This should’ve been the new Discovery… I mean the current outgoing Discovery looks more like a Freelander than its predecessor.

I feel you can probably get a full option 4 door bronco for the same price of one of the lower end Defenders
Oh buy it Mark! More room than FJ for driving w/your amigos. Im looking at that spare tire and hope it doesn’t obstruct rearview, but If I remember when driving an FJ I couldn’t see a thing out the back window either.
