A reader sent me the picture above of someone leaving their litter right next to a trash bin on the walkway between Marina Waves and Scientific Center. People who litter are littering not because they’re too lazy to walk to a garbage bin, but because they just don’t care.
Thanks Hamed

Japanese people cleaned the stadium and their trash before they left. It shows society values to them. Compared to mexicans and other countries. That’s in last world cup.
Thats the end result of human thinking?
People in Kuwait will litter as long as they know that there are people to clean up after up. Cleaning up after yourself is something has to be inculcated at a very young age and if it doesn’t…well, then you get Kuwait.
Reminds of an old post I wrote after the Eid holidays. The picture was taken at the ATM at Salhiya mall. The scene was similar at all the other locations in Kuwait. How do I know? I was an employee of that bank at the time.

The thing is that the cleaners are also clever they just clean what you actually see and give tips but they will never clean the area for which they are not getting any extra money.
I think the appropriate title is “People who throw garbage are garbage”.
thats why i’m not a copywriter
Did you check ?
You just gotta love this “Clean Litter” concept I see so much where a person who might not find a trash can might feel bad about littering and would place his garbage or litter upright and supposedly in a clean way just to satisfy an inner feeling of not littering.
This is not the case here, but it just reminded me of it.
If you lean over and look between the rocks at the cornice walk you will be shocked how much shit is there.
I don’t think Kuwait is abnormally dirty, there is other countries that are far worse. Kuwait waters are actually very clean compare to Malaysia and Indonesia. Streets of India and Egypt… ouf.
Could Kuwait be better because of the money the government have, YES YES YES and YES.
I don’t know who is in charge of the infrastructure but he need the booth. Having huge garbage containers open and filled to the max, and in visual seen from the street and walk paths, with smell and all is a much larger problem than people littering in my opinion. When the streets are clean people will be shy to litter.
Clean up the streets then the people.
-insert thought bubble here-
It’s a slow day, lemme sit for a minute until some cool jogger chick/dude pass by.
-20 minutes passed-
