FujiFilm X100

I really want this camera, although I thought after the Panasonic GF1 I wouldn’t want anything else but now that I’ve seen the X100 and read the reviews I can’t not have it. At $1,200 it’s not cheap since it’s nearly double what I paid for my GF1 and so it really doesn’t make it an easy buy specially with the lack of things to photograph in Kuwait. Check out the nice review of the camera on Hypebeast [Here] and if you’re interested you can order it from Amazon [Here]

aspherical lenses are super sharp btw, but if I were you, for a little extra, I would definitely shoot for a GF2 ( $700@amazon ), leica mount/adaptor (>$200@amazon), and get a 28mm zeiss M-mount lense (around $1,000@ amazon) . cant possibly get more bang for the buck than that.

Double negatives eh? English 101 Mark πŸ˜›

lol I am just messing with ya, looks like a pretty good camera, if you plan on selling your old one be sure to hit me up with a price.

It is a very interesting camera indeed. For that price, you could pick up a used Leica M6 from ebay which is a truly “fine piece of engineering”. Or for the bargain price of a human kidney, get a Leica M9 which is what the fujifilm wants to be when it grows up πŸ™‚

i wanted this camera too… but after owning the Leica X1 i can’t live with a fixed lens camera ;X … if people like this camera design size and quality i guess they should get Leica M series cause this is the exact copy of that Rangefinder… though i really Like Fuji’s Sonic < what ever they call new rangefinder ….

Hey Mark!
I’m a 15 year old Kuwaiti girl who’s a HUGE fan of you and Nat’s blog. (a day wouldn’t go by without me checking what’s new).. So, since I noticed you really, I repeat REALLY, love cameras, photography.. etc. I wanted to see what you think of the Hasselblad A12. I want it so badly since all of the people have the new habba (professional cameras) so i want to be different.. THANKYOU VERY MUCH!

It’s one of a kind. It’s got a large sensor slightly smaller than the ones on DSLR’s, it has a retro feel and look, physical buttons, a optical viewfinder with an electronic overlay (one of a kind) and takes great quality shots. It’s really one of a kind the whole camera, closest thing to it is the Leica M9 but that costs around $10,000 with a lens, you have the Leica X1 similar but that doesn’t have an optical viewfinder or a similar build quality.
