Things to do in Kuwait this Weekend

Fluffy last night was fantastic and great to see almost sold-out.

As a non-Kuwaiti (here over 15 years) it brought a tear to my eye seeing the spontaneous applause / acknowledgement via a yell then simultaneous clapping… it was also clear to see that Fluffy appreciated it also.

It was my first visit to The Arena Kuwait and for me I believe the only negatives were:

– poor signing from Carparking to the entrance of The Arena.
– stewarding inside The Arena which seemed more interested in looking good and chatting than stewarding.
– no attempt by stewards to stop people who arrived late from entering at will, standing, chatting and blocking views.
– extremely poor exit procedures with people stood for long periods as only one set of escalators to take people out from behind the stage area. I would worry very much what would happen in the case of an emergency. A better idea would have been to advise patrons who wanted to leave straight to the carpark to exit via the floor as almost everybody funnelled via the exit behind the stage.
– given that most in Kuwait do not use urinals, the queues for the toilets to use the stalls was 10+ minutes during the 20 minute break.

The positive side… the actual entry experience was well organised.
