I know this sounds weird but there is an Irish Pub opening down the street from my place in Salmiya. According to their instagram (@irishpub.kwt) they’re going to be opening up any day now so I’m obviously going to have to pass by and check it out. I hope me reviewing pubs is going to be a thing soon!
Thanks Sharan!

Haha. Serving Heiniken with pork ribs
Guinness!
I mean its so blatantly obvious that it’s not really a pub!
Theres no REAL beer there!…right in the middle of Salmiyah?…in one of the most crowded streets right?
They’d be out of their minds to hide it in plain sight…
oh no! seriously! ;(
Virgin guiness and tofu bangers and mash.. . Yummy >.<
mmm what? why? how? and what’s the point of opening this if there’s no alcohol ?
Hard Rock Cafe used be in Kuwait!
At least it had the name cafe in it. This place straight up says Pub.
It`s actually misspelled …Should have been Irish PUBG, but the G fell off…. 🙂
The only way I can interpret the circumstances under which this place has opened is that they’re clenching to the hope of the legalization of alcohol anytime now.
Yes. Hard rock waited and waited. LOL!
Irish coffee with no whiskey is just wrong.
I remember passing by it the other day I literally LOLed in the car!
I live just next to it and I still LOL everyday….
I’m sorry … No Guinness.. No can define as pub. Irish or otherwise. I feet the wrath of Leprechauns are heading this way…
feel…
So.. i’ll just leave this link here : https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/pub
Dont forget Saloons. How is that allowed?
I am guessing the winds of change blowing in our backyard may have a sobering effect on the prohibition rule here. Will be interesting to see non Moslem expats being allowed to drink in public on the back of a liquor permit/ license. It will be kinda cool.
They really should start allowing alcohol in 5 star restaurants in Kuwait adopting the Qatari model.
Looks like there serving coffee. Irish Coffee on the menu? 😀
Irishisha Pub!
EPIC!!!!
When I saw this, I couldn’t believe my eyes, and I wanted to notify you about it. I’m sure they’ll serve mocktails and non-alcoholic malt beers and TGI Friday’s-style food, otherwise what’s the point of a pub in Kuwait?
I’m genuinely happy not to have real pubs in Kuwait. Imagine the fights, the drunk driving, the continuous rape. Its will seriously not be a good thing with the people here.
All you’ve stated are happening already without free flowing booze. I’m told the drug problem is much more of an issue than booze.
You practically already have all this in Kuwait WITHOUT the alcohol! 🤣
