Back in 2010 Sultan Center stopped carrying Lucky Charms because it turned out the marshmallows in it contained pork gelatine. Since then it’s been off the local market but now Lulu has started selling them. Not sure how long that’s gonna last so if you’re craving Lucky Charms you should pick up a box ASAP. It’s being sold for KD2.990.

Because who doesn’t love a big old bowl of diabetes for breakfast! 😀
That does not make any sense
Some secrets should remain secrets.
There is an expectation in this country that what you buy at the grocery store is halal. This violates that trust and that expectation, regardless of what you feel about halal. There are vegetarians who don’t expect to be eating pig in cornflakes for breakfast. There are jews that actually care about kosher diet (unlike many ‘secular muslims’). I think it should still be available for those that want to buy it, but it should have a clear sign on the shelf that this item contains pork.
Maybe General Mills no longer use gelatin from pork?
That ‘maybe’ shouldnt apply to foodstuff sold in Kuwait
I meant maybe thats why its now being sold again
From my experience studying in the UK, there are two types of gelatin in Lucky Charms if it states “beef gelatin” then its fine, if it just says “gelatin” then its pork. Though for the passed year I could not find beef gelatin boxes so I stopped buying them for my little sister because of that.
Is it halal beef tho?
Forget that Lucky Charms and just look at that beautiful, orange Reese’s Puffs. om nom nom
