Hey Mark,
Thanks for this post 🙂 i was infact waiting for you to post this, its really a time saving information. Thanks Again !

yup i do. its not that bad since i’ve got an excel sheet with all the numbers and prices from the previous years (https://twitter.com/mark248am/status/739841648956461056) but it gets annoying when lines are busy or nobody picks up (looking at you Millennium Hotel). In some cases the phone number doesn’t work and I need to find a new one and that can be tedious especially when you’re like Paul and don’t have any good online presence and the numbers listed online don’t work.

Thanks Mark 🙂

It’s a good indication of restaurant behavior when you compare it with last year prices.

Don’t u think price should go down in Ramadan…price shoot up..nah thanks restaurants in Kuwait no thanks…my mum she is a great cook..

Great chart but going for a buffet in Ramadan when one of the most important aspect of Ramadan is feeling the hunger of the poor doesn’t seem right. That too with some Buffets costing of KD 15 per person sounds insane.

A note about Leila! We went their for Iftar yesterday and were truly looking forward to their set menu offering–only to be informed that they offer this set menu to groups of five as a minimum. If you arrive in a party of less than five, you can enjoy the dish of the day or soup of the day, and order a la carte.

Hey Guys.

We tried buffet at Symphony Style hotel this week. It was by far the worst experience we ever had with Aftar buffets in Kuwait. Just a heads up to anyone planning to go there..cheers

I’ll start with salad corner.. the salad was somewhat ok but the hummus tasted a bit sour and appeared very dry.. I assumed it was not freshly made..
The real problem was in the main course items..
Meat koozi.. it was cold.. meat had a very strong smell and rice were quite raw.. like not boiled properly at all.
Freid shrimp.. again cold and drenched in oil.. I usually love the shrimp so I took may be six or seven but I could barely eat one.
Pasta.. it was made in red sauce.. but again the taste was not very appealing..
I tried few other items as well but I couldn’t recall the names but the overall experience was quite abysmal.

Last Thursday me and a few friends went to the Gabka at Safir hotel in Fintas. It was KD 12 for the Gabka and KD 15 for Aftar buffet.

The food at Gabka was simply awesome.. the highlight for me was the chicken biryani and the steak dipped in mushroom sauce.. and then the roasted chicken and grilled stuff was also very delicious..

The only downside I would say is that it seems a bit expensive but apart from that it’s extraordinary.
