Richard’s Coffee new popup location officially opens today. Their new location is right next door to the new Elevation Burger branch on the Seef Strip and will be there for the next 90 days. Their opening hours is from 7AM to 9PM starting Tuesday, but 3PM to 9PM for today and tomorrow. Here is their location on [Google Maps]

What is the logic with “pop up”? When every 90 days they need to re-do/re-advertise/re-everything?

they don’t really need to re-do or re-advertise much. Their concept was meant to be a popup from the start so they designed everything to be portable so they can just move it easily from place to place when the time comes. They don’t do much interior work, they just bring it some of their elements, like the ceiling hooks, their portable/movable bar and their coffee so its not that hard.
re-advertising is easy, just announce it on their instagram and all their followers find out and then word of mouth takes the rest amount of time.
with all the coffee places in kuwait, what makes them unique is they’re never in the same place. it’s their differentiating point so there is lots of sound logic to their idea.
Ahmad, this is obvious, “pop up” coffee shops have been popular in North America for some time, and so it was only a matter of time before someone in Kuwait copies the idea (not that it’s a bad thing to copy ideas, everyone does).
I’ve been to the old pop up 3 times.. tried 3 different coffees and they all sucked so unless they changed anything i wouldn’t recommend this place
how were they shit? the taste or bitterness or flavor or which aspect, that would be a more useful comment than simply shit.
i found they made excellent americanos, better than vol. 1 or % and even if its just espreso and water, its actually hard to perfect.
I didn’t say shit…the gold standard for me is the black ice from vol 1 and i compare every other coffee to that. Everytime ive been to richards and tried the americano, 24 and 48 hr cold brew the taste was so bland and unimpressive that i didnt even finish the drink

I don’t like coffee but I like what they are doing. Have you been to the new location? My friends want to go there sometime so I’m around, and I’m seeing a lot of the same places, so plenty of people like the coffee, I think! Typically they get the coffee out pretty fast, but if it’s really busy you might be while, because they do everything by hand.
